We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Matt’s place. Our large room with bathroom and its own porch was great. The communal areas on the front of the home for dinning and relaxing were great for interacting with other guests as was breakfast which included generous platters of tropical fruit, cereals, toast, tea and coffee. The kitchen suitable for cooking meals has a shared fridge freezer. The front terrace was a favourite for a beer in the afternoon warmth watching the sunset. Matt was a great host, really made us feel welcome and had lots of advice in regards where to go and what to see. Thanks for having us.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at! We stayed in hibiscus cottage which was lovely. Clean and it was amazing being surrounded by rainforest. We loved having a dip in the creek which is just at the back of the cottage. One of the best features of the cottage was the toilet and bathroom! Gorgeous tiles and lovely and clean with one wall not there so it’s Open to the rainforest but still privacy if you’re shy about the rainforest watching you. No chance of any humans seeing you have a shower so don’t worry. Matt the host was amazing. He gave us great recommendations and truly cared about making our stay enjoyable. The fruit platter at breakfast was delicious! So many different fruits I’d never heard of before and so fresh. Truly an incredible experience. Location is perfect as well to see the daintree rainforest and to go to cape tribulation.

My stay at Epiphyte BnB was one of the highlights of my Australian adventure so far. Coming back from an exciting day of jungle exploration to relaxing in a hammock with my favourite book listening to the rain was just the best feeling. The hand-built property is a welcoming and open environment with a focus on green and sustainable-living and is perfectly located for those seeking to explore the rainforest and cape Tribulation. I very much enjoyed having great conversations with the host, Matt - whom is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area having come to Daintree to build Epiphyte many years ago. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at Epiphyte BnB if you’re looking for the perfect retreat to base yourself whilst exploring the Daintree rainforest.

Excellent stay, great host, great company. The breakfast simple but fantastic. Beautiful setting - good location Cannot recommend it highly enough. Definitely will return if we visit the Daintree again.

This is the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Owner-operator Matt was so helpful, and his breakfasts are AMAZING. The rooms are cozy and clean - and you can't take that for granted in a steamy tropical environment. It's in the perfect location to tour the Daintree - central to everything. Make the most of the opportunity to chat with Matt and other guests, the place is set up to be a temporary community.

Epiphyte B&B has some nice lodges with an outdoor kitchen surrounded by rainforest. Breakfast is offered in a pleasant, large open building. The breakfast is luxurious and consists for amatory part from fresh fruit. In addition there is locally produced jam. Everything offered with the sound of rainforest. De not forget to cross the street and have a nocturnal bushwalk.

Matt is so knowledgeable about the area and offers great advice! It’s a beautiful location and convenient to reach all the Daintree. Matt has done an amazing job building an eco conscious retreat. The water is all rainfall and the electricity is solar. Neither was lacking quality. Thank you for having us! It’s easy to book directly with Matt.
