We loved our 3 night stay here. So beautiful sleeping in amongst the rainforest with all the beautiful forest noises. We stayed in a tent with an ensuite. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Great self catering facilities. We saw Cassowary’s here too. Would recommend a stay here for people who love nature and camping and the rainforest.

From the moment we arrived we loved everything about our stay at Crocodylus. I was travelling solo with 4 teenagers (age 16, 14, twins 13) and was unsure how 2 of them would cope with the standard of accommodation and particularly the limited electricity. I shouldn’t have worried as they all loved it. The accommodation is basic as clearly explained but clean and beds are comfy. We all slept beautifully listening to the rainforest sounds. Waking up to to the sound of rain in the rainforest was very special. Sally was so welcoming, making an effort to remember guests names and cooking delicious home style food at the cafe. Self catering kitchen was much better appointed than I expected and next time we will come better prepared to self catering more. We only stayed 2 nights but were so busy with activities in the area that we all wished we could have stayed longer to chill out more (even the tech obsessed teenagers) . This place is very special and we are keen to revisit. Only downside for us was our early check out time to make an early morning tour and we forgot the electricity doesn’t come on until 7am which did make it a little challenging in the pitch black but that was our poor planning - just a tip to remember if organising morning trips.

Perfect immersion into the rainforest, the space is really inviting with a comfortable common hang out space. The rooms whilst basic did what they needed and I slept well. The food was tasty, filling and convenient. The night walk was really great. Thank you to our guide. That was a very memorable experience.

Great to experience a night in the rainforest although not for the faint hearted! The sounds at night were a bit scary if you’re not used to it and a large branch or something fell onto our cabin and scared the life out of me! The heavy rain kept me awake most of the night as was very loud! I could not relax for fear of a tree falling but that’s just my anxiety as I’m sure it was quite safe! The showers and toilets were very clean as was the cabin. The pool was lovely to cool off in. The food choice was good but sorry to say the feta pasta and salad far too salty and therefore inedible. The pudding was also far too sugary but lovely! Maybe that’s the way they cook out here , I don’t know, but not to my personal taste. The ice cream place at the end of the road- flora fauna was so nice and an interesting place to visit much nicer than the Daintree ice cream. Owners were nice and friendly. Overall a good experience and I would recommend a night here. Daintree village the other side of the river is a lovely quaint place with lovely views of the river and we did a croc cruise from there and saw the biggest croc ever!

We first visited this establishment in 1991 when our daughter was 4 years old, so we thought it would be interesting to bring her and her family back here 33 years later ! We definitely weren't disappointed !! The accommodation is quite basic (tent-houses on platforms, albeit with en-suite toilet & shower) but they make no bones about this in their advertising - and the experience of living in the rainforest for a couple of nights was excellent. The night walk in the rainforest, led and explained very well by Odin (not sure of spelling) was definitely worthwhile - even though we joined it with some trepidation ! Steve & Sally were excellent hosts - Steve is a keen astronomer so we really enjoyed the views of Jupiter through one of his many telescopes, as wells his impromptu explanation of the stars in the Orion constellation (plus others), and Sally is an excellent chef who cooked up some great meals for all of us the first night. A highly recommended experience - but, as clearly stated in their adverts, it's not a luxury resort or party venue, so don't go there if that's what you're looking for ! And they did leave the overhead fans on overnight, even though they indicated on their "Must Read" email that the power could be off overnight - we were very pleased that they left it on !

Fabulous simplicity, warm welcome and comfortable clean accommodation. 2 adults 2 children very happy with our rainforest stay. Food was delicious. We didn't do the guided night walk but heard others say how great it was. Helpful staff and well run. Highly recommend.

Stayed at Daintree Crocodylus with family including young children. It was a terrific experience. The cabin worked well for a family of 5 - it was spacious and the beds were comfortable and having our own bathroom was great. We loved the jungle trail and the night tour was excellent too. The cafe is fabulous- great food (generous serves!), great for children as well as adults. And the staff are amazing- so friendly and helpful. Thanks to all.
