The gentleman who checked me in was very accommodating and very nice. The room was clean and spacious, however, it's old and needs a facelift. The beds and pillows were horrible so the intended stay was for a good night's sleep and instead woke up with stiff neck and aching back. Breakfast was less than par. Won't stay again.

We (3) stayed one night at Comfort Inn & Suites Covington - Mandeville in July 2023. The parking is adequate. The lobby is nice. The room is good and clean. The elevator was good but noisy. The breakfast was average. There were sausages and egg on the buffet. The staff was helpful.

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Covington, LA

Visiting family in the area, we chose this hotel for their availability of a one bedroom suite. The location is convenient and the proximity to local restaurants is a plus. The offer of a daily included breakfast is an important plus and is one of the most positive factors which would warrant a repeat visit. Staff member Aileen was there on a daily basis to ensure that the breakfast, (eggs, biscuits, sausage and gravy), was always fresh, hot and replenished. In addition, the cleanliness and care of the breakfast area was excellent. The care of the room was also worth noting - Gloria provided replenishment of all necessary items as well as daily cleaning services with a good crew of room attendants. Help was provided by Luis at the front desk regarding recommendations for the local area shopping needs and the transfer from my old Radisson frequent stay account to their new program. Prior business travel afforded an opportunity to stay at multiple locations and sample many hotel chains. Based on this stay, I can easily recommend this location and will return here when in the area. One minor potential improvement that was identified by my wife was the lack of a wall mirror in the separate bedroom. All mirrors in the suite were located in the main room. Honestly, that is an observation that I would never have noticed … historical business travel focused on getting in and out, I was never really aware of that level of detail.

This hotel was okay. Pretty dirty. But staff good. Hot tub doesn’t work. And laundry is broken
Hilton Garden Inn Covington/Mandeville

I'm very surprised that Hilton allows its good name to be attached to this hotel property. When I checked in, the front desk clerk said that I had to pay a $50 pet fee (not a deposit) for having a dog. She told me that they'd just redone the rooms. I wouldn't have booked this location if I'd known about the fee, and told her that. She checked with her manager and told me they'd let it go ”this time” but not next time. (They don't need to worry about next time with us.) This fee was not disclosed when I booked the room, but now they have added it on the Hilton Honors website, but only when you book. Then we go up to our rooms to find old carpet in the hallway--it's easy to spot when you find waves in it. In our room, we couldn't tell if the carpet was new or just plain cheap. My wife found a huge stain on the mattress on her side of the bed and wouldn't sleep there (she slept on the couch instead). There were stains from a water leak down the wall near the bed. What redone rooms are we talking about? We would have loved to actually have had one! Then for breakfast the next morning, there is a ”buffet” that consists of the barest possible offerings: bread items (with no way to toast anything), instant oatmeal, and fruit. It wasn't even Hampton Inn quality. No hot items at all unless you order al a carte. They were charging the same price for this ”buffet” as another, quite lovely Hilton Garden Inn in Lafayette where we'd stayed the previous week. While we were dealing with all this, I asked one of their staff who owned the hotel, and they told me they didn't know for sure. ”It's a little crazy around here....I think it may be bank-owned.” The picture came into focus quite clearly at that moment. Do NOT give this hotel your business. The value for what you'll pay is not there in form whatsoever.
