Everyone from the desk to the breakfast service was very kind, very friendly. The hotel has a great concept, the room, the view were lovely. We had better experience in Covilha than in Lisbon, thanks to this hotel. Housekeeping was flawless.

Our fifth visit as a group of motorcyclists. Upmarket hotel in fantastic location if visiting the mountains and ski resorts of Covilha. Two swimming pools, gym, huge buffet breakfast, exceptional buffet evening meal for 16€ and amazing bedrooms. For us as motorcyclists this is the place to be. Staff first class. Overall, an amazing stay four our three nights. Great value for money. Hotel Boa Vista Porto, send your staff here and see how a proper hotel operates. You could learn so much.

Location, service and restaurant is excellent, but the hotel structure, in particular the quite old and noisy room, has some variety of breakfast but does not regularly rest.

This was our second stay in this hotel. It was a secluded (of course) former convent and it still includes the chapel and the cloister, now common spaces for the guests. Quite nice!! Every room is named after an hypothetical fryer. ‘Frei Zacarias’ was a very spacious room (large lobby, bathroom and bedroom, with a balcony over the valley) which accommodated an extra bed easily. It was a bit dusty at first but, per our request, the staff took out the rugs and vacuumed. The staff is super nice and helpful - always willing to do their best with a smile! The pool bar didn’t seem to be open in the afternoon and we had to get the towels at the hotel reception (not very convenient). The pool was fine and the cold water didn’t bother us much after a whole day exploring the region under the sun. In my opinion, dinner takes too long, especially for a family with young kids. Even if we tried asking for very uncomplicated dishes, it would still take around two hours with all the preparations and waiting for the food… It feels the rooms could use a little update/refurbishment to replace a few items and such.

We just arrived home and we're already looking to return. The hotel is wonderful... quiet, cozy and clean. The staff is perfect, always trying to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Hotel Sinai Belmonte Nice hotel located in the historic center of this little town. Plenty of free street parking. The hotel is quite modern with a spacious lobby and lounge. The restaurant on site doubles as the breakfast room. Breakfast was a nice buffet of breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, fruits and cereals. Our room overlooked the valley below the town. It was decently sized with plenty of power plugs but no designated USB ports. There are flexible reading lights on both sides of the bed. The closet was spacious. The bathroom was spacious and included a large shower(no tub) with the most vigorous water pressure we have ever experienced in Portugal. They supply a combination shampoo/shower gel pump in the shower. But like everywhere else we have stayed so far no hair conditioner nor are washcloths supplied. No refrigerator. A little balcony off the bedroom was a nice touch. Besides a small ruined castle and a few churches there is not much to see here and the town is too small to have much in the way of shopping although the tiny crooked streets are charming. Suggest that this not be a destination but a brief diversion or simply a place to settle in for the night before continuing your travels.

A wonderful hotel even in these trying COVID times. Check-in was seamless, the staff could notava-se been more friendly and courteous. Room was clean and spacious. We even got to enjoy the lovely indoor swimming pool. The food at the restaurant was top notch. The overall aspect, service and meals, I would day, are comparable to any of the finest Portuguese pousadas but at a more reasonable price. Also, the location, in the highest Portuguese village in the Serra da Estrela was magnificent. Crisp, clean mountain air. No snow-capped mountains this time but still beautiful surroundings. We highly recommend this gem of a hotel in a picture postcard setting
