We booked this place mostly because of the spa space and the indoor heated pool. The pool was flat out cold (totally cold switched off) everytime we tried to use it. We complained at the reception several times. They said many times over the course of 2 days they would turn it on. They never did, and made us wait all the while. We later read reviews of other guests also complaining at the lack of heating in the rooms in the winter. Bottom line, the hotel seems to want to save money on energy bills at the expense of customers. Theres a lack of privacy between the toillet, the shower and the bed space which are not separated. Don’t recommend for people who are still getting to know each others toilet habits. The staff is friendly, they mislead you with a great smile on their face. DONT GO!

We chose this hotel to spend my husband's birthday and because it was petfriendly and we were very impressed. It is very well located, the breakfast is good and the indoor pool area is also pleasant. We recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the wonderful Serra da Estrela, but at the same time stay close to the city. Now, take a trip to the village of Piódão,amazing!

We spent 3 days over Christmas at Pena D’Água and the experience was magical! It was our 2nd time staying and this time we brought our family & puppy to spend Christmas at this lovely hotel. On the first night, my husband couldn’t sleep because of noise from a leak in the bathroom, and the next day we were promptly upgraded to a better room. We had Christmas Eve dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Açafrão, which in our opinion, was better than some Michelin Star meals we have had. The attention to detail, the quality of the food, the service… everything was incredible. The coziness of the hotel and friendliness of the staff is unmatched. The team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was super special. A special thank you to Francisco and Nuno for making our stay so incredibly pleasant. Their professionalism and kindness made all the difference! Also, if you want a relaxing massage during your stay, we highly recommend Margarida, she’s amazing! We will be back to enjoy another stay at this lovely hotel which feels like a home away from home! Thanks so much, Bianca, Cameron & Buddy

The welcome, attention to detail and service, as well as the design of the hotel, are simply the top. Next time we will stay longer, to take advantage of all the services offered, from breakfast to dinner and the activities that can be added in this city at the foot of the famous Serra da Estrela. Adoramos a estadia, foram duas noites bem passadas e confortáveis. O staff mostrou-se sempre disponível e amigável, destaque para a simpatia do Fiel, o cuidado do Francisco e o conhecimento sobre vinhos do Rúben, foram 5 estrelas! Optamos pelo Devotion Pack que incluiu uma relaxante massagem (que gostamos muito) e o jantar no Açafrão que foi uma experiência 10/10. Recomendamos a casais que queiram conforto perto da Serra da Estrela!

Há anos q optei por ficar nas redondezas da Covilhã, fugindo da degradação e decadência. Mays agora, posso (e devo!) voltar. Porque encontrei um excelente hotel, numa casa senhorial muito bem recuperada, com um conforto invernal excepcional quer nos quartos quer nas partes de uso comum (bar, sala peq almoços, spa), tudo arranjado c bom gosto, muito cool. E, cereja no cimo do bolo, empregados super simpáticos e prestáveis (obrigado Francisco e Nuno!). E tudo isto a um preço justo. Concerteza voltaremos!

Agradável surpresa!! Desde a chegada, ao staff impecavelmente fardado, ao Check in, ao welcome drink...tudo smooth, com simpatia e profissionalismo. O quarto muito bem decorado, silencioso, com a temperatura certa logo na chegada. Cama maravilhosa. Concierge a funcionar para la das expectativas com o staff preocupado e a fazer a tão esperada extra mile. Pequeno almoço bem apresentado, não falta nada, realço a qualidade dos ovos e a óptima omelete que me serviram. Ao pequeno almoço o staff so fala contigo o mínimo dos mínimos...sem intrusão...e ha um silencio ternurento entre eles. Nao ha louças a cair ao chão...bandejas cheias...gritos para pedir mais fiambre ou sumo...tudo aparece sem nada ser pedido. E a sala estava completamente cheia. A repetir. Sem duvida. Obrigado a todos. Grande Staff.
