We got married here! Utterly stunning natural beauty, see the lawn before making a decision on this place as a wedding venue. Food amazing, staff characterful, great service, rooms superb, cleanliness 10/10. Overall incredible value and we had the day of all time! A superb yorkshire hospitality! Highly recommended to anyone thinking of getting married! If we could do it again we would do it at Tupgill Park, amazing place and people !

Last weekend we held the wedding of my stepson at The Saddle Room. It proved to be a fantastic venue. Everything was 5 star. The staff created an intimate space for the actual wedding. The room was then opened to reveal tables beautifully decorated for the ‘breakfast’. The food was exceptional and the service of the same quality. We had an outstanding band for the evening’s entertainment to round off a perfect day. Our accommodation was in Swaledale Cottage which was very classy and other guests commented on the high quality of their cottages and rooms. This a hotel/wedding venue/ conference centre that I would recommend with the utmost confidence and thank the management and staff for making our visit a very special one.

We arrived late after a disastrous day (which resulted in an afternoon in A&E), we had received a call en route asking what time we might arrive and the lady was so kind when we said we running late and also kept our dinner reservation. We stayed in 'Teal' on a DBB basis, dinner as always was delicious, the room was so comfortable with all the amenities you need, coffee machine, fresh milk, luxury toiletries, fluffy towels and a fabulous shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was great, a small but fresh continental selection and some good options for cooked breakfast. Thank you for a lovely stay and for your staff excelling in customer service, we will stay again despite living about 10 miles away!

We stayed at The Saddle Room for one night for my birthday and we were not disappointed. The area is beautiful and there is so much to see in the grounds including The Forbidden Corner (open in season) and lots of country walks in the park. Our room was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, fantastic drench shower, comfy bed, and a fridge (with fresh milk) . Every member of staff we encountered was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast (included) was lovely, nice continental selection and a choice of cooked options. Our evening meal in the restaurant was lovely, nice atmosphere, again lovely helpful staff. We will definitely return, our weather was wet and cold but we still enjoyed, it will be fabulous in warmer weather.

Gorgeous B&B room with all the things needed for a great stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very cosy but with plenty of space. The decor was incredibly beautiful with hard wood floors and a lovely bathroom. The bath was a bonus. The park and estate is beautiful to wander around in and I like that we were left to explore. An excellent location and easy enough to find using phone satnav (I remember this being another matter altogether 15+ years ago in the days before satnavs when I last visited!) The restaurant next door served delicious food, with excellent service from staff. The free morning breakfast was also delicious and great value for money when considering it was included in the price. My partner was very happy with the full English and I liked the more simple options. Staff were polite and quick to respond to any requests. The only slightly downside was the lights in the room were a little hard to work out but that may have been my fault for not reading the instructions carefully. The fridge did also make some clicking sounds every now and again but it did not impact my sleep. In fact, we both slept soundly with no outside noise and such a comfortable bed. We would absolutely love to stay again and I have already recommended this B&B and restaurant to several friends who commented that they love the Forbidden Corner.

We had a 2 night stay here. Stayed in Dante room. The room was fine, comfy bed, nice thick towels, toiletries. The breakfast was very good. We had lunch on the Saturday and the food was excellent. The hotel is not in a village and Altho we were aware that the restaurant would be closed on the Saturday night, we were not aware that everything would be shut so we couldn’t even get a drink from the bar. I thought in lite of this we would have been offered some discount or complimentary drink. We had a fabulous walk from the hotel onto the middleham moor and watched the race horses training. Idyllic spot just a tad disappointed on the Saturday night especially due to the snow we were reluctant to travel far.

Another lovely stay at the saddle room, perfect for our group. Restaurant food was delicious and a wide range of meals and budgets to choose from. Breakfast was really delicious and filling. Cottage was clean and well equipped, it's our 3rd time here and next year is already booked! Thank you to all the staff.

Booked for two nights in saddle rooms on b&b basis. Was led to believe on booking that if you book 2 nights your stay included the forbidden corner, be careful on booking as this is only if you are in a cottage. £14 pp entry otherwise we didn’t bother walked into nearest village instead. I was disappointed as the only purpose was to try the restaurant as we had heard of the good food which met our expectations and was a great meal. On reflection we wouldn’t have booked two nights one was enough. The room was hot & stuffy two large windows overlooking bar area with no blinds so when you were changing /showering you had to close all the curtains. Bed was small double and hard wooden footboard that because the room is cramped bashed your legs when walking past, ended up putting pillows over ends to stop further bruising. All tea coffee pods good , nice stuff in bathroom plenty towels etc, shower not that clean but think there is a drainage problem. The real dissatisfaction for us was that the staff seem to be drinking day & evening in their work clothes amongst guests this was heightened when we arrived back at 10.30pm on our last night even though bar said 11pm to ask for a drink as per the staff were sat drinking & the manager came out and said they were not serving .when I pointed out that they are regularly drinking he said right I’ll take that on board 🤔the couple who were in the next room were there at the time and said it was disgusting but they were ok as they had their own drink . Not great won’t return.

My husband and I were wedding guests at the wedding of Heather Mozley and Peter Grey. We were booked into one of the Bed and Breakfast rooms. Everyone of the staff were not only polite but very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Our room was roomy and very clean. The breakfast next morning was excellent, If I have any complaint at all it was at the wedding itself (held onthe lawn outside as it was such a lovely day). we were at the back and could not hear any of the wedding responses at all. Other guests in the visinity gave the same comment.
