The Bay Hotel

Amazing place to stay. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble. Even the late night cheeseboard! The food- wow. James the breakfast/lunch chef is fantastic. Really felt he looked after us. Even reserving a beautiful sea view table in the morning for us after meeting him down the local pub! The location is stunning, right on the coast path, offering the most spectacular coastal walks. The locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming, we will be returning. Thank you for looking after Ralphie our Spaniel, he got the same exceptional treatment we did. We will be back. Hollie, Grant and Ralphie

We have been coming to Coverack for over 30 years but never stayed at The Bay. We have seen it change over the years from a very old fashioned hotel to the amazing hotel it has become with the new owners. We received a very friendly welcome and told that our room had been upgraded. The room was beautiful with amazing views in every direction. Fresh milk and homemade biscuits were a treat. Treats for our labrador as well! The bed and pillows were so comfy with good quality bed linen and toiletries (some hand cream/body lotion would have been nice) We ate in the restaurant hotel in the evening and the food was amazing. We were on a stay and dine package which was good value. Good choice on the menu and beautifully cooked and presented. James served us and was very friendly and knowledgeable Breakfast was also very good and all served at the table. The homemade granola and smoked haddock omelette were delicious. Can't wait to come back!

Spent the last two Fridays here enjoying the wonderful views, friendly atmosphere and delicious cocktails. They create a new 'special' cocktail every week and service is spot on thought out the bar and living room. Thank you so much for looking after us Courtney, Jack, Sarah and James!

Never fails to live up to all expectations. A lovely old hotel with the best staff anywhere. This was our fourth year of returning to celebrate our anniversary and we love it. Views over the bay from our room was outstanding as is the food served in the restaurant, you won’t go hungry after starting the day with the Bay breakfast. If you want a relaxing, quality break come and stay here. Until this time next year. Thank you to all at this hotel who make it very special.

We called in for Sunday lunch/dinner on 8th September and thoroughly enjoyed it. The quality and standard of the food was first class, plenty of it and it was absolutely delicious. Service was 1st class too, everyone working in the dining room got the balance of professionalism and rapport building spot on, friendly and attentive without being pushy. The Bay serves Sunday Roast until 8 P.M., possibly as a result of many walkers doing the S.W. Coastal Path staying here, we ate at 16:00 hrs. and everything on the menu was still available. A first class dining experience in every respect, we hope to be back soon..

Positives: It is a spectacular spot. Coverack is stunning and this place is right on the front. Reception staff, very friendly. Negatives: Rooms small. Breakfast, bar and meal services are very poor. Hour wait for breakfast, cocktails never arrived, so cancelled them. Very expensive. For the 3 night stay, we could have had 10 days abroad.
