Having booked for dinner, bed and breakfast, and my booking was accepted by the hotel, I was staggered to be told on arrival that the restaurant was closed! By telephone, the manager told me that he had sent me a message about this on our day of arrival, but this message never arrived! Surely they knew some days earlier that they were not going to employ a chef; and it would have been polite to inform guests early that no dinner was available. I had booked this hotel specifically because it had a restaurant. On being let down like this, I immediately cancelled my future booking at the same hotel, and this cancellation was confirmed by the receptionist. Imagine my surprise when, 3 days before this future booking, I received a message telling me that they were "looking forward to my coming visit"! I managed to cancel (for a second time), but this left me with serious doubts about the management of this hotel. I do not trust them, and will never be booking here again.
