Another very pleasant week at Les Flocons, a delightful, family run hotel which we have been staying at for many years. Excellent, peaceful location right next to the chair lifts, all practicalities for skiing catered for and excellent dining. We will be back

Excellent location, with a steam room and sauna, comfy beds and food that is very good for a 3 star hotel. So, if you're here to ski, les Flocons ticks all the key boxes. Service is not perfect (I think they were short staffed whilst we were there) but the home team are lovely - friendly and chatty and entertaining. We really enjoyed ourselves. Would have liked to have a kettle in the room for tea and coffee making but otherwise the rooms are clean and well kept.

Francois, Phillipe and the staff made this a holiday to remember, nothing was too much trouble and they engaged with all the guests. Great food and every meal came with a narrative from Francois explaining the ingredients and origins. Not once did the kids go off the set menu although this was available. The location is perfect and everything you need for a great weeks skiing. Will certainly visit this hotel again it is so much more than it’s 3 star rating.

Hotel Flocons is just as good as it looks on the website, it’s a traditional style, very cosy, friendly hotel and the location is amazing! The manager/ owner Francois is very friendly, larger than life character and loves to show you how fresh and local the produce used in the restaurant is! Kevin the head waiter is a super star, he quietly but efficiently and very capably attends to your every request (he had our family group completely sussed)! Thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well, from Philipe (behind the bar) to Anna running the Office (I think I’ve got that right) and to the friendly cleaners. The Hotel sits in a fantastic position RIGHT next to the chairlift and beside the slope. There’s only a short walk up the road to the bubble, lift pass office and ski hire shop. There are buses between the villages of the Courchevel Valley however they are a little sporadic so leave plenty of time if you are relying on them! We walked to Aquamotion one afternoon to have a swim and it only took us about 15 minutes. The village of 1550 is quiet but there was plenty there for our family. We also loved the Luge run from 1850 which ends at the base of the bubble, it was crazy fun! Remember to take a helmet and wear your skiing clothes! The rooms in the Hotel were cosy but very functional and the shower was always hot. We slept well and even had the window open at night as it was so warm. We had a room at the back so didn’t have a view of the skiing. My parents had a beautiful room at the front of the hotel with a bath and a lovely balcony which was fab for mum to watch us skiing down! Now for the food… we love our food…. The breakfast was continental with bells on! Choice of cereals/muesli, Croissants, pain chocolates, fresh baguettes and their ‘normal’ bread and then also (usually) fresh brioche loaf and pancakes! There was fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, cheese and ham. The hot options were the let down (although we didn’t exactly ‘need’ it): sausages (more like hot dogs NOT nice) and scrambled eggs (lovely)! On to dinner/supper (NB No cakes or soup etc you are not in a Chalet Hotel!) it is a set menu of 3 courses and a cheese course. I enjoyed absolutely EVERYTHING on the menu, the kids and my husband (non cheese) had a couple of swaps but these were discussed with Francois and delicious too! The desserts were added to/changed each night so you could keep having your favourite til it was finished or have a different dessert every night (which is what I did)! I have never eaten so much cheese in my life, a selection of 4/5 cheeses each night! We ‘found’ the Hotel through Inghams but you can book straight in with them! I hope to go again one day!

We stayed for a week of skiing February 2022. The hotel really was fantastic in every way. The location couldn't be better, literally metres from the piste and chair lift. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had half board which included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was a great buffet with lots of options. Dinner every evening was a 3 course set menu plus cheese course. The quality was fantastic and it was great to have a fondue night!

The place is perfect. At the foot of the slopes. Very nice servers. The boss is less so. Disturbing humor and not really pleasant. As for the prices of drinks... 12 euros per piece of pie. 10 euros for the software. Too bad we don't stay reasonable

The dessert of the day was very lacking in presentation. I wondered if it had fallen to the ground before serving it to me!?! No whipped cream or caramel or anything else besides this small slice for €10!!!! and when at the end I said that a scoop of vanilla ice cream was missing I was told that I had to ask for it?!? I didn't know that it was the customer who made the menu... Bizzard as a restaurant... disappointed. Too bad we are from the neighboring valley and we will not do good word of mouth. I waited 10 minutes at the bar so that I was finally given the bill and so that I could finally pay my hefty bill to my liking 😥 I suspect that my paella “made in Courchevel” for €29 per plate was defrosted but the boss “sold” it to us so well that it went down well! I find it expensive for what it is. It's making fun of people. No respect. Cuisine to review (why a paella in Courchevel?? 🫣)
