This is absolutely the most terrible hotel we have stayed at so far in Courchevel. And possibly one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in recent years. It starts as soon as you arrive in the dreadful garage, followed by a long journey through a maze of smelly, uninviting, grimy corridors before you reach the reception. We had booked 3 identical rooms, but the difference was enormous. One room was half the size of the other... And I don't think anything has been done to the decor in the rooms for 30 years... rough plaster on the walls, screaming colors, a bathroom where you can't even stand upright to shower. And for that price per night... scandalous! The breakfast buffet is a joke. No fresh coffee, no possibility to order eggs. Little choice. We tried to minimize our time in the hotel because it felt so unpleasant there! The only thing that was really well organized and where the staff were really nice was in the ski room. And the location of the hotel by the slope was also very convenient. We will never stay in this hotel again and we advise everyone not to spend their money here... there are definitely better options in Courchevel. For not even that much more money.

What, oh what has happened to a once much cherished hotel. The current directors and management cannot destroy the fact that the Courcheneige is in a great spot on the mountains. As for everything else, they are doing their very best. By no stretch of the imagination is this a 4* hotel experience. My apologies for a long review, but I am not in the habit of posting negative comments, so feel that a proper explanation of events is necessary. Our sorry tale started on the 27th April 2023, when we emailed the hotel directly requesting two rooms for three adults and one child for the week beginning 23rd March 2024. The reply on the 14th May explained that the team were on holiday and would provide us with a quote when they return in August. We finally received a quote on the 25th September for the right number of people, but for just 4 nights starting on 20th March! Having pointed out their error, the hotel replied with a new quote for the right dates, but this time for just two adults and one child. At this point we decided that it might be easier to get the right outcome if we booked through the hotel web site. After some searching, we found the special offer tab – March ski hire and lift pass inclusive weeks - at the bottom of the room type page. This appears to offer two options. Contact the hotel using a form – well you can image our thoughts on that – or via a booking bar across the top. We used the booking bar to reserve two suites and received an email confirmation. As was forcefully pointed out to us on arrival at the hotel, we had already made two schoolboy errors. 1. It seems the contact us form on the page is the only way to obtain the all-inclusive package, in which case why would the booking bar alternative even appear on that tab. 2. We interpreted the ‘half board basis’ of the confirmation as meaning not including lunch – the normal use of the term - not that we had not obtained the ski hire and lift pass, after all we had booked through a tab on the web site that specifically provided that. On arrival at the hotel, we requested our ski hire vouchers – required at the on-site ski shop – and ski passes to be told in no uncertain terms that we had only booked half board and not the all-inclusive package, and that we would have to pay a further 1,800 euros to upgrade. Fortunately, I was able to find an eMail – 25th February – in which I asked the hotel to confirm that “our all-inclusive tariff includes 3-Valleys ski passes and ski hire”, to which the response was “Regarding the All inclusive package, i confirm the 3 valleys skipass and ski hire are included”. At this point, it was surely the hotel’s responsibility to clarify any confusion if they felt there was any, and to correct our booking mistake if they thought that we had made one. Even now the Manager did not concede, saying that the hotel’s response to my question was a generic “if you had booked the all-inclusive package, it would include the passes and equi

Great hotel. Great ski in ski out location. One isssue was the location of our room. It had an amazing view over the slopes but the room was right above where all the deliveries came on skidoos, consequently the room was really noisy if you wanted to sleep with the window open (and even with it shut, to some extent). Pick your room carefully though and it was just perfect. Our room was 112

The location of the Hotel is outstanding. It could be the best spot in Courchevel 1850 for hotel and Aprés-ski. Unfortunately the hotel policies are not aiming to welcome guests, but to ostentiously maximize short-term profits. The most absurd policy is to charge €10/day per ski if you would rent it from another place (which is 1/3 of the hotel price). If you would bring your own skis they will charge zero. This is ultrageous and illegal (against the very basics of EU competition laws). The hotel is old but well taken care off and the food is good. The wine list is poor and expensive.

Fabulous hotel right on the slopes. Skis laid out on slope ready in the morning , if you choose you can have help on and off with boots . Lovely comfortable warm room ; which if too hot had the Option to be able to open a window !!! Staff helpful at all times. Food was good - lovely buffet breakfast . Supper was a choice of two for entree and main with a splendid choice of desserts and cheese. Weird entrance into hotel through a “ garage door” then corridors and lifts to reception but understandable as located on the slopes. Could not fault.

As a couple, we stayed at the hotel in early February. Whilst sat outside on the terrace one early afternoon, we tried to order one pizza to share between the two of us as the pizzas are large and we were not that hungry. They refused to serve us only one meal, stating we must buy two dishes. Given we are staying at the hotel and not just passing trade, you would think they would want to satisfy their guests!

The location however is great right on the slopes Food overall was ok but majority of it was raw Pudding was good However this is when things get bad The downstairs ski room was completely flooded which no one seemed to bothered about it The Internet is pretty rubbish had to adjust the antenna’s which made no difference and the cellular signal is pretty rubbish downstairs Heating upstairs is great but be prepared for a sudden shock when you enter your room as it turns the room into an Oven Ended up getting tons of by the bald maintenance guy for messing with his heating even tho downstairs was freezing Be warned the restaurant can get pretty cold so you may want to carry a coat before you go in also you will notice the flood smell downstairs Overall not as impressed could’ve been better :(

Great little gem of a skiing hotel right on the best slopes at arguably the top French ski resort, but without the extortionate costs of most of the other hotels. Although the hotel is old (1957) by alpine standard and therefore a few compromises (small lift, smallish bathrooms) overall it’s simply great. Great outdoor bar, pizzeria, outside dining on a massive deck, plus a warm cozy inside with a fire Breakfast buffet is great, as is the pudding selection, and while the half board menu is limited, the food was good if a little sophisticated for a skiing restaurant (scallops!) Thank you

A great place to stay, comfortable, good food and delicious cocktails. Harold makes the best drinks. Lovely atmosphere and a happy place with helpful staff. Lunch on the terrace in the sun surrounded by snow covered mountains highly recommended.
