Lovely Hotel facilities and food wise. Gave it average review due to some of the staff. I think its more an management issue but for a 4 star hotel I would expect the staff to show a bit of pride and interest. Barman expected to make cocktails and serve customer's on his own which means waiting a while to get served if he is busy doing cocktails. Tables in lobby area not cleared and staff member we dealt with not very friendly. Tried to ring reception for room service and no one there to answer.Also hair straightener in our room was faulty. Not all staff were unfriendly the staff for breakfast and dinner were lovely to deal with. Maybe I got him on a bad day. But it's the little details that matter.

From beginning to end our stay was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Food was outstanding. There was no cocktail the bar staff weren’t willing to make for you, you name it and they made it. We were celebrating a birthday and as you can see in the image they went out of their way to make an occasion of it. Couldn’t recommend enough, worth every penny.

This was my first visit. The word that comes to mind is 'Spectacular'.From the moment we arrived there was a warm welcome. The rooms are so comfortable a nd of course the views over the lake and the surroundings are amazing. The food and service was excellent. A special mention for server, Rebecca. Courteous, funny and most important efficient - everything exactly as ordered. Two minor quibbles - I would like to see a handrail at the bath; and on the same theme, a handrail, even two, along the steep walk down to the lake. My email reveals my age! Nevertheless I hope to return soon. Hopefully at Christmas. Thank you.

Our stay in the cabin in Glasson Lakehouse did not disappoint! It’s a super idea for a couple who just want complete zen and a private experience in what is a busy hotel! Martin at reception just made our stay, he suggested we upgrade to the cabin and we are so glad we did. He was so friendly and helpful and just added such a personal touch to everything! All the staff deserve a mention as the restaurant and spa staff were also super efficient and friendly too! We will be back again very soon!

We came for a 2 day Summer break. We really enjoyed the pool. Fantastic view and the water was heated... The Food, the restaurant is fantastic... To the bar .. Tierna and Robbie were top class on the bar. Beautiful cocktails, prepared with love 👌10/10

The Glasson lakehouse was a fabulous stay, we were greeted kindly by the lovely Martin and Jane who were excellent in reception and told us everything we needed to know about our stay. We really enjoyed ourselves. Would highly recommend for a chilled night away with some lovely food drinks and atmosphere.

Such a lovely chill stay as per usual. Staff is brilliant Martin and Jane on reception and a lovely young lad at dinner with glasses with the recommendations and a laugh one of my favourite places to stay in Ireland.

We called in for lunch today (Thursday, 25th July 2025). We have eaten here before and recommended international friends to stay, for the great locstion and amenities. Today, we were left disappointed and totally underwhelmed: waiting staff, who twice brought food without cutlery, gloopy, tasteless soup with a "garnish" of soggy french fries on top! 😖 followed by a dish, which, on the menu, promised brown bread, came draped on indifferent, slightly soggy toasted bread. It looked boring, it tasted boring, but the overall bill re-animated us pretty quickly! Over €60 for, what were tasteless tapas-like portions and one pint of Guinness. We decided not give feedback to any manager because in our experience it hardly ever changes anything. We won't be back.
