A delightful place with large, clean, well- appointed rooms, with separate dining and living room areas fo guests, nestled in a lively garden. Host Theresa made us feel very much welcomed and breakfast was the best we had in Ireland! Very highly recommended!

Our stay was a quick one night stay, but our hostess Teresa and her husband were both very welcoming and kind. Teresa recommended some restaurants for dinner and we had probably the best meal we have had in Donegal. In the evening we went to The Reel Inn for trad music, which she recommended, and it was my husbands highlight of the trip. Great recommendations. Breakfast the next morning was delicous, but I enjoyed most talking with Teresa afterward. She is so loving with a huge heart for people and God. A really special place!

This is a really lovely b and b. We had a very comfortable, light, airy room and delicious breakfasts. You can walk into Donegal Town from the b and b in 15 minutes. Theresa is a delightful host, and her husband cooks beautiful breakfasts! In town we enjoyed a stroll to the quayside, enjoyed the Bank walk, explored the abbey ruins, the castle and browsed the shops. Excellent Irish music and Irish dancing in The Reel Inn. Great Italian food in Bella Donna. Nice seafood is served in the Old Castle Bar.

This is my third time at Ard Na Braithe. Theresa is the utmost hostess. The B and B has changed since I first came in 2015. The quality has not. Superior service, cleanliness , but a welcoming warmth non-parallel a truly wonderful place to stay and a great value. I'll be back Mary Colket

I cannot believe I forgot to write about this lovely gem of a place. Location was convenient to Donegal center. Easy & Safe walk. The b&b was quiet, delightful, & breakfast was always delicious. The rooms were also quiet, clean, & spacious. I traveled with my son. Our room was 2 beds, ensuite, first floor.

We were looking forward to staying in a country area of Donegal Town with just the sound of sheep bleating, but unfortunately the sheep have gone and I was woken to the sound of traffic noise from the bypass highway not far from our B&B….disappointing as I’d questioned the owner about the quietness of the accommodation! However, we did enjoy the delicious breakfast, with lovely Sarah serving....excellent customer service :) Perhaps again, I misunderstood, but we expected the kettle/tea/coffee maker to be in our family room....not so but instead in a communal kitchen downstairs together with 'frig access, microwave and cooking facilities that I was very clearly dissuaded from using by the owner "as the facilities were for all guests"! Not really walking distance from Donegal Town and difficulty finding parking in the evening.

We recently stayed at this accommodation and it was lovely. The host Theresa is a gem breakfast was class room cosy and had a bath which was lovely. Clean and tidy. Everything in the room was set out well. Hairdryer by the mirror etc. Will definitely go back.

We had a mountain view room for 2 nights. We were at the end of the hall upstairs; our room had a king-sized bed, and the bathroom had a tub (which is rare in Ireland lol). The room was quiet and there was plenty of space for our things. There's a hair dryer in the vanity. Downstairs, there's access to the kitchen for coffee & tea, as well as an "honor bar" - some alcoholic beverages as well as the prices for them, just leave the money on the counter (on your honor); also, the breakfast area has a couple of couches if you want to relax with your drink. The bed was a bit too firm for me (most tend to be), and the pillows were flat, but there were several. The house is not near a busy road, so it's quiet, but it's near enough to town to be convenient. Breakfast was wonderful. Check-in and out was very simple. We felt very welcomed. If WiFi is important for you, it was a little spotty - sometimes in the room it was ok, but it was strongest in the hallway.

Nice bright room overlook fields to hills beyond, unfortunately a little too remote from town centre to be able to walk in the evening with poor street lighting and limited pavements. Breakfast buffet extensive but cooked breakfast limited to eggs 4 ways and porridge. Bathroom was in need of an upgrade.
