Your home away from home, Whispering Pines Cottage features a fully functional kitchen and laundry. More than 8 guests are welcome at extra cost. Recently renovated throughout, the cottage now includes a cozy breakfast nook and a dedicated work space with a desk and high speed internet, but no TV. Relax and unwind in the comfortable sitting room or on the newly installed patio. Take a stroll through the orchard and small grove of trees and enjoy the uniqueness of a rural type setting located in a small village.Currently, the cottage, the patio, the backyard, the orchard, and the small grove of trees are available for our guests enjoyment, however all of the outbuildings are to be considered off-limits.A fully-operational kitchen is stocked with utensils, cookware, and basic spices to aid our guests as you prepare your own meals.A full-size washer and dryer, plus laundry detergent and fabric softener are available for all your laundry needs during your stay.Two of the bedrooms and one common sleeping area are located up a flight of stairs. The common sleeping area contains two single beds. This sleeping area is not privately walled off.The bathroom on the upstairs level is a small, private bath off of the one bedroom. The common-use bathroom is on the main floor.The bedroom on the main floor has a bunk bed that is full on the bottom and single on the top. And the sitting room contains a sofa that is quite comfortable to sleep on if necessary.This home is located on a small property (just under 2 acres) and has a semi-secluded back yard with numerous trees and a small orchard which helps give it a country atmosphere and is a haven for a variety of song birds (seasonal).A patio with a gas grill is available for cookouts (weather permitting).The entrance driveway is shared with the neighbor and must be kept open at all times.There is ample free parking at the cottage for two vehicles. More than 2 vehicles, but not more than 4, (as well as small to mid-sized trailers) are permitted with special permission, but will be at an extra charge. Large trailers, and more than 4 vehicles (vehicles and trailers combined) are not permitted.The cottage is located in a small village which contains: a grocery store, a bank, a harness/shoe shop, a hardware store, a chain saw/small engine shop, two feed stores, and several "Amish" variety stores. Most of these stores are within walking distance or if someone wishes to take a vehicle there is parking space in front of each location. While there are no walking paths, it is quite safe to walk on the proper side of the road, as the locals do every day.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 3-17.The cottage is not child proof. Use at own risk..About customRules:No stays longer than 12 consecutive nights are allowed. Only registered guests are permitted.
