Local sandy beaches and coves are abundant, the nearest being Portmellon, a few minutes drive away. Pentewan Sands is a similar distance with great watersport facilities/restaurant/bar. Discover the North Coast and the magnificent Fistral Beach at Newquay is just a 45 minute drive (22 miles).
