4.5 Stars. Centrally located in Altstadt. Nicely appointed lobby. Superior room came complete with dishes, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and fridge. Small table for 4, sofa and bed. Plenty of room. Self service laundry and fitness room available. Lots of options for breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Minor miscommunication on room cleaning, but extra towels brought cheerfully on request.

Very comfortable room in a charming hotel. B&B only - breakfasts were very good. Hotel would supply plates, knives & forks etc if you ordered a takeout meal and the restaurants would deliver to your room. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Cottbus is a charming little town with plenty of bars and restaurants. Nice walks along the river.

We were visiting the area to explore my husband’s Wendish heritage and experience the surrounding area including the Spreewald. The Sorat Hotel was great for both purposes. It’s located in a beautifully restored 1850s building in the old town. Close to the Wendish/Sorbiche museum and the stunning market square. Our room was large and convenient. Breakfasts were a highlight with plenty of choices and a good coffee machine. The staff were helpful and understanding of our lack of German language skills. We were able to park onsite and charge our electric hire car there. On the Sunday we hired hotel bikes to take them by train to Lubbenau and ride back to Cottbus via the Spreewald and villages. They were older bikes but seemed well maintained and were good for this purpose. Overall the Sorat helped make our visit to Cottbus a highlight of our German travels. A home away from home in a delightful region and town.

Wir waren zwar nur Gast für eine Nacht, aber es war sehr angenehm. Das Personal war wirklich aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir können dieses Hotel nur empfehlen für alle die Cottbus einen Besuch abstatten und eine angenehme Unterkunft suchen. Gern kommen wir wieder.

Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt im SORAT Hotel in Cottbus sehr genossen. Der Service war herausragend – das Personal war stets freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren großzügig geschnitten und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sodass ich mich sofort wohlgefühlt habe. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück: Es war nicht nur sehr lecker, sondern auch abwechslungsreich, sodass für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei war. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt. Ich komme gerne wieder und kann das Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Kommen seit ca. 10 Jahren her. Fühlen uns immer wohl und willkommen. Schon vor Corona eine gemütliche Athmosphäre. Danach kurzer Qualitätsknick, aber verständlich, hohe Kosten, keiner wusste, was kommt. In den letzten 2 Jahren merkt man einen Aufwind, es wurde viel am Haus gemacht, Frühstücksbereich raus aus der Lounge, übrigens überdurchschnittliches Frühstück mit vielen Kleingkeiten, wirklich für jeden was, auch veggi. Die Lounge wurde mit Couchen und Sesseln geschmackvoll ausgestattet und lädt nun zum Verweilen ein. Nettes Barpersonal dort, brachte sofort ungefragt Wasser für den Hund. Alle Daumen hoch für dieses Plätzchen in der Altstadt. Zu Weihnachten fällt man quasi in den Weihnachtsmarkt ;)

Es waren drei wunderschöne Tage in Cottbus. Das Sorat Hotel Cottbus hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Tolle Ausstattung, perfekter Service und sehr, sehr nette und freundliche Mitarbeiter. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, direkt in der Fußgängerzone und der Altstadt von Cottbus. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
