Paradisus by Meliá Salinas Lanzarote – All Inclusive – Adults Only

Booked this hotel with high expectations from the reviews I had read previously to visiting so was expecting a very good experience what we actually got was a good showcase on first impressions but as the days past of a 1 week holiday costing £4600 for 2 adults with Jet2Holidays we discovered it’s more of a jazz hands and all smiles but without the glitz and glamour we have learnt to expect from a 5star hotel that offers a upgraded experience, The hotel itself is architectural masterpiece sitting prominently on the island of Lanzarote situated in Costa Teguise but for us the experience of this supposedly unique hotel was short on luxury we would have expected more in the way of a waiter/waitress service around the pool area and a swim up bar especially when paying for the Reserve area upgrade we would have also liked to have had more availability on being able to attend the restaurants more than once in a week but found the Melia App and the hotels concierge service to be lack lustre, all in all we had a nice weeks stay but wouldn’t return on the service available especially when the main Restaurant Isn’t stocked well enough for the amount of guests it’s servicing

Tranquil and relaxing. Absolute luxury from start to finish. All the staff were so kind and helpful but I’d especially like to say thank you to Laura who called to check on my son when he got sick and made sure he was cooked a special meal in the restaurant. We really appreciate your kindness.

We have just returned from a two week stay at this hotel.The decor and pool area are stunning, and the hotel is spotlessly clean.The rooms were lovely but our bed was so uncomfotable the mattress was not the best ,we had paid for a premium resort view thinking we would get a bigger room ,perhaps not .We thought service in some areas was slightly lacking for a 5 star hotel,the sunbeds were so uncomfortable and on a few occasions felt there was a them and us culture with the reserve side To us we feel that you have spent hard earned money and should expect the same level of service no matter what part you stay in. Food at the Shack Bar was excellent, and the Italian especially.The main buffet restaurant was OK, but food was a bit lukewarm sometimes ,we found lunchtime had a better choice overall. Just a few little things need to be tweaked to make this 5 star.People love this hotel, and I can see why, but for us, it just wasn't quite there
