Very dilapidated hotel. Cathedral style room which heats a lot in summer. No air conditioning. Average restaurant and very limited choice. Pools too dirty. For 150€ per night I expected much better. Hotel must not exceed €70 for half board. Bring water as there are no drinking fountains. I strongly advise against it.

I wanted to spend one more day, so I renewed my hotel reservation. The overall feeling of the hotel environment was very good in the first three days, but on the fourth day the front desk was replaced by an older man. The service felt very unfriendly and impatient towards Asians.

The room was very large and comfortable, the kitchen had all the necessary utensils to make your meals, the pools were very clean. The bed was comfortable but a little old and it sounded as soon as you moved. The bathroom was fine, with always hot water, but the tub was very rusty. In general everything is good, it just needs a few small renovations to make it look like new.

Very similar to a large hostel with good bungalows (with a kitchenette, kettle, microwave) many children, many small pools on the territory There is a shop on site (prices are above average), a cafe where you can buy breakfast / dinner The disadvantage is that there is no access to the sea-ocean, as such. (there is a certain bay on the territory, more like a paddling pool) To swim you need to go along the promenade along the sea to the beach

Hey just writing this quick review as we have only arrived today after being petrified for weeks wondering what we were walking in to. I just want to reassure everyone who are planning on visiting soon, that our 1 bed apartment is SPOTLESS huge in size and has gorgeous views, the staff have been super friendly ensuring our room was ready for us hours before check in time. I plan to update on our departure x

First of all I’d like to say that the best lace is very dated and run down and is infested with cockroaches 🪳 on our first night we found upto 11 cockroaches in our room and we had a 1 year old baby with us this is completely unacceptable we where then moved rooms after requesting to move and we had the same issue once again with cockroaches we had to cut our holiday short and pay for flights home as the place was not clean enough to stay in with a 1 year old baby I am appalled by what I have found at this hotel and I would never ever return . There is no kids club for our other younger family members 8 and 4 no entertainment during the day or the evenings and in all a really shoddy place to come . I would advise anyone to not come to sands beach resort if you don’t like cockroaches because it is full of them . Waste of my hard earned money to come here with my family and cost us more money to get home . I will be complaining to my travel provider and asking for a full refund or some compensation paying back to us for what I can only describe as the holiday from hell .

Sands Beach Hotel I'm shocked that it is advertised as a four-star hotel. Let's start with the apartment. It was filthy, The beds were so uncomfortable that I barely slept, and to make matters worse, I even saw cockroaches scurrying around. The furnishings were outdated and stained, and the overall appearance of the apartment wasn't very nice Despite being advertised as self-catering, the kitchen was a joke. There was barely any cutlery or cooking utensils, making it impossible to prepare a decent meal. The bathroom was rusty and looked like it was about to fall apart, making it feel unsafe to use. The pool area was equally disappointing. It was dirty and poorly maintained, with broken and old sun beds that seemed unsafe to sit on. Overall, my stay at the Sands Beach Hotel was a complete disaster. The hotel's condition and amenities were far below what I expected from a four-star establishment. I feel that Jet2 has misled me.

We booked this as a last minute bargain holiday and on that basis this was a great holiday. We are still here staying in a beachfront villa. It's huge, clean and has everything we need. The only thing missing perhaps is air conditioning. There is a fan but it's August and it's hot. We stayed here about 20 years ago when it was timeshare and it has been sold many times since then I believe. The villas are pretty much the same now as they were then. They could do with a bit of TLC but for the price it's great. The breakfast is fine. Don't know about dinner. We walk the 15mins to the restaurants in an evening and these are all good. It is quiet but if you just want a quiet chilled holiday then this is great. If you want entertainment during the day and evening the you need to book elsewhere . The pools are lovely but quite refreshing and they must be at their hottest just now so I would imagine that at other times of the year they would be freezing! We will certainly be back at the right price

We have just returned from a week stay at Sand Beach resort. I went with my family, my partner, my daughter of 19 and my daughter of seven. When you enter the hotel, it looks very grand, the complex is massive and the location is amazing on the beachfront, however, this is certainly not a four star hotel. I wouldn’t even say it was a three star. On closer inspection, you realise everything needs updating, fixing from the sunbeds to the rooms to crack steps when you’re walking around, chipped paint work with the exception of one or two, I didn’t particularly think the staff were that friendly The pool bar is not utilised anywhere near enough. This could be made brilliant, especially with music in the evening and advertising more for drinks and food because the views overlooking the beach are amazing. The animation team try to do their best with a children’s disco twice a week however, it’s a bit of music on a mobile phone for about an hour and this is not advertise well. Also they had constant blue album on repeat through the whole of our stay. The food at the hotel wasn’t brilliant. Breakfast were manageable. However, evening meal was usually cold and very bland and Beige, we always found something to eat however, never fully enjoyed our meals . The rooms were extremely tired and dated, we were extremely lucky with the location of hours being at Sol 43 but apart from that the room wasn’t great it was dirty, dated, and cleaners did go in daily however, they were out within a few minutes, sometimes only mopping the floor and changing the towels. Beds, usually just had the sheets put back on them. We did find a couple of cockroaches in our room, this isn’t the complex’s fault and after reporting the issue to reception, they sent maintenance and cleaners straight out, and this put an end to the problem. The pools were good , we had the best Pool been in the area Sol. However, the sunbeds were broken and tatty and it baffled me that there were no umbrellas. I completely understand from my health and safety point of view that Lanzarote get high winds and this could cause a problem with brollies flying. However, I’ve been to other areas of Lanzarote numerous times and I’ve always been able to get Some sort of shade, there is so much space around a lot of the pool areas. I feel some catamarans would be a real added bonus to some of these areas, even if they are chargeable to give the hotel a bit of extra income. We as a family, don’t always like sitting out in direct sunlight, especially in the Augustson. There were some payable pets around the pool bar, however, that place lacks atmosphere and there was only about six trolleys you could buy. There were some umbrellas on the beachfront. However, my children prefer the pool to the beach. We were extremely disappointed with the lack of entertainment at this hotel, there is no bar open of an evening. Inside the hotel and no children’s entertainment or adult entertainment at all. That is apparently a hotel

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. After previous experience to 5 and 4 stars hotels I can only rate this hotel 1 star.Very disappointed. We are a family of five, two adults and three kids. No entertainment for kids or adults. The hotel is outdated, furniture old ,mattress very uncomfortable, struggle to find sockets which works. Stayed for 7 nights at beach front 13. You can only connect two devices/room to the internet,if you have more devices is €6 / day, which we wasn’t told .The food was not tasty at all. This place definitely needs a new management and reorganise everything . I want to mention this place wasn’t cheap at all,we paid 30% more than what we paid last year for all inclusive in Turkey for a 5 star hotel which doesn’t really compare with this one. Here we only had half board. Will never visit this place ever again.

After reading the reviews before our trip I was apprehensive about staying here. This is our 3rd stay in these apartments in many years. Yes they need a bit updating but we couldn’t fault the cleanliness or helpfulness of the staff. The entertainment bar is closed, however lots of bars and restaurants within a short distance so it wasn’t a problem for us. Food at the Lido restaurant overlooking the sea was lovely, as were the cocktails. I was too busy enjoying my holiday to pay any attention to chipped paint or door handles! If you have already booked, don’t worry, just enjoy your holiday 😎

These apartments are actually very good, have everything you need to cook a meal of you wish or we simply made pasta or sandwiches everyday for lunch and did half board. Had the apartment swept and mopped daily with fresh towels as we put dirty ones in the bath to be changed. I couldn't fault this stay. We stayed in the beachfront, the beach was abit rocky and seemed to have bricks as you walk into the water and then tons of seaweed so we used the pools mostly. Wouldn't necessarily recommend paying the extra for the beachfront unless you want to listen to the sea, it's much more peaceful but with two young kids I'd do poolside for next time. Buddies club 10am-1pm daily and mini disco or bingo most nights. There is a board with all this information in reception. Would recommend and we'll be staying again. Food was great, lasagne was super nice! Kids loved the jelly and dessert section. Not many complaints, some sunbeds could do with a upgrade by the pool but it's not too busy so can find a decent one.

Don’t want to knock the staff who are trying hard to make the best of the resources. This resort is very misrepresented on their website and also other holiday companies including On The Beach. We booked because of the active element mentioned. Unfortunately, the Pilates/yoga instructor was on holiday, the tennis court and equipment are in poor repair, the table tennis table has no net, the gym has broken/missing and very old items, there are no canoes - only a few paddle boards etc. This is not an active hotel but looks like it once was. The main bar is closed and there is no entertainment. The rooms and all equipment on site are in a poor state of repair. This could be a great place with some attention. On the plus side, the resort and rooms are clean, the staff (including reception) very helpful, it is a ten minute walk to bars/restaurants and main beach. The two bed rooms give plenty of family space. It is the quietest resort I’ve ever stayed on as there is nothing happening so if you are looking to relax and sunbathe only then all good. There are sunbeds albeit old and parasols on the lower pool and private beach. Not good for active teenagers.
