Hotel San Miguel

I arrived with the confirmation email after booking through their website and only received the shouts and rudeness of the receptionist who did not even try to help. That it was not listed in their system and I had to leave in a bad mood. My vacation was ruined because of a mistake of theirs.

After looking on Google, we arrived and the lady at reception, to put it politely, was telling some clients with sarcasm and a bit of a joke that if they wanted a pool they should go to the water park two kilometres away, because even if there were photos on the internet, that means someone had uploaded it… Theoretical room with a view of the “forest” which turned out to be the back of what could be supposed to be the guard’s house, full of roosters that have not stopped screaming since 6 pm when we opened the door. Views of a back with a toy pool, plastic remains, a discarded cart from a boat, and between 4 pine trees a sea in sight, a sea of ​​plastic from the surrounding greenhouses. When we opened the room, we were completely disappointed. It was tiny, like the house in the woods of the cabinetmakers in Snow White, with an abominable and indescribable smell that made us stay outside for about 5 minutes with the door and window open. It was better not to comment on the bathroom, a smell that, after two hours with the window open, we still hadn't managed to get rid of. I had never been in a "hotel" with these characteristics in my life. A floral bedspread, which was creepy to remove, matched with the curtains that were scary to pull back in order to keep the window open... and, to make it even more surprising, once the bedspread was removed, there were sheets that were neither yellow nor grey, of course made of a material that we cannot describe, but which contained very little cotton in its fibres, and with a smell somewhere between stale and tobacco that one could not imagine an establishment open to the public could have. Of course, we will not come back, nor will we recommend it to anyone, we felt cheated, deceived, and I deduce that anyone who passes by here will have the same impression. A total rip-off. I leave you and continue trying to erase from my mind the cock-a-doodle-doo of the roosters running around just a few metres from the window. Have a nice summer!

Lo que me ha gustado especialmente del alojamiento es el entorno en el que se encuentra. Maravilloso. Lo que no me ha gustado es no disponer de piscina, teniendo espacio suficiente y un entorno apropiado para tenerla.
