This was booked as part of our California road trip. We were able to book in early, which was a real plus, however we found the room to be very dark and it smelt damp. It was a good size and had a full size fridge. The carpets however were filthy!! We all had showers and within minutes of walking around barefoot our feet were black!! Our kids used the pool, which was fenced off in the middle of the car park. It had ample seating around it, but it certainly wasn’t the cleanest. The hot tub was green in colour. We had an issue with our sink, which made it unusable. It took 2 phone calls to reception to get this sorted. The hotel was well positioned for Newport and Huntington. It’s on a busy road, but there are good restaurants and shops around. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Its dated and needs a good clean.

it didnt smell, no bugs and mostly clean so i was impressed. and i had to reach behind night stand to get an outlet but it was fine. it is right next to freeway noise but what can you do...the shower worked right, even the towels didnt smell like anything. parking was easy arriving late. the mattress was good and i slept fine. it was unpleasant that they partner with 'hooters' but were very polite to me. if you want good coffee, drive to a coffee shop otherwise you can get caffeine fix here. recommend trip to bolsa chica ecological reserve, i saw a great blue heron eating a stingray and reddish egret dancing and more

We stayed a night for president’s day weekend. We checked in around 8 PM and were greeted by excellent service from their front desk specialist, Alexander. Alexander was quick to get us checked in and truly helped us feel welcome. I can say it was one of the best check in experiences I have had. He was able to provide all pertinent info we needed and promptly direct us to our room. We found our room very clean and ready for a relaxing evening after a day on our feet. We had a six day stay there recently. From the beginning things went well with Rau the front desk manager being helpful. The room was clean and the staff kept it nice during the entire stay. It was a short drive to Newport Beach, Huntington Beach,Balboa and other beach locations. The area around the hotel is nice with a great nature preserve a 15 minute walk away. The local neighborhoods are beautiful with flowers everywhere. Several good restaurants and bakeries with 5 minute walk.

We recently stayed at the property after a two-year absence due to our disappointment with the former management team in general and with one of the front-desk managers in July 2022. We took the risk to stay again at the property mainly due to its great location, notably the nearby South Coast Plaza shopping malls and the Segerstrom Center for The Arts. We enjoyed our stay at the property. We were very happy with the new management team and their staff. Overall, they all appeared professional, courteous, and effective. We noted that the restaurant - especially the quality of the food - had been greatly improved: we had one of the best margaritas during our visit in southern California and that the housekeeping service was very good: always on time and responsive to our daily needs in a timely manner. In addition, we enjoyed the swimming pool; it seemed that there was a good team managing the pool: the temperature was perfect and the water was always clean.

The hotel is older, but the rooms are relatively large. Parking at the hotel is free, which is better than the hotel I stayed in before in Irvine. The hotel lobby also provides free coffee; this hotel also provides 2 bottles of mineral water and snacks for free (see photo) ; Breakfast is indeed relatively simple, the patties are limited, and breakfast ends relatively early. The reception staff at the hotel front desk were quite polite.

I had booked a king suite room for one night for my son, my husband and I. when I walked in I totally thought I had walked into the wrong room. It was dirty. I have a one year old son whom I didn’t let roam free on the floor because there was a bunch of crumbs, a dried up piece of half eaten bread by the tv stand, and just a bunch of trash in the floor. I took pictures as well.

Service environment and location are very good The price is just a bit high. Maybe I ordered it late. Personally, I think it’s worth booking for less than 1k. Opposite is the south coast shopping mall And the ocma museum is free.

The environment is very good, hygienic and convenient. The service staff are very friendly. The reception staff also gave my son a set of train toys, which was very considerate, but we were just passing by for a trip, and we look forward to staying here next time we come to the beach.
