Poor wall board insulation that divided my room from the adjacent one. I could clearly hear the normal conversation voices coming from the next room at 6 am in the morning; very disappointing as the most treasured thing for staying at hotel is all about QUIET good rested, night sleep 🛌; on top of that low water pressure both in the shower 🚿 and in the bathroom sink; “wet paint” signs in the hallways; at least I got a free parking 🅿️ but it’ll end soon as well…

I would not recommend this place. I asked for 10 minutes past check out and the lady said no. She said I could stay for another hour for $30 plus tax. I was like no thank you. This place is quite pricey for lack of amenities

Classic hotel. There is a nice atrium and swimming pool. The room, bathroom and toilet are very clean. The big bed is also comfortable. There is a workbench. The power socket is convenient and has a USB port.

The hotel offers an airport pick-up service, but it is recommended to call the front desk. Because the airport is small, the hotel shuttle does not always run between the airport and the hotel. The service is good, the room space is relatively large, but it seems that there is no bottled water in the room.

You just can't go wrong with the Ayers Hotel group. Top notch at an affordable price. Very convenient to UCI.

Wonderful hotel providing excellent service and delicious meals at their restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we were very happy with our stay. The only thing that I was disappointed about was that they were working on repairs to the structures in the courtyard during the day and you could hear the noise from the drills and other equipment making it difficult to enjoy the garden and outside tables due to the noise. I wasn’t aware there would be construction before booking but the hotel workers were polite and we made the best of the situation. We still had a great stay and will definitely return.

The Ayers Hotel offers the predictable and consistent experience of a hotel stay we've all come to expect with nationwide chains. However, they also offer a unique charm, care and quality setting that is indicative of an independent, family run operation. In the future, whenever staying in the Costa Mesa area, I'll be staying at Ayres.

It is a nice and clean hotel, but the restaurant food is horrible. It tastes worse than hospital food, I don't think they season anything with salt. Also, when I tried to shower at 9am, the water was turning from cold to luke warm every couple of minutes, it was a very uncomfortable shower.

We thought the Ayres was a terrific hotel! First time we'd stayed and the amenities were great, restaurant and bar were exceptional and friendliness of the staff was first rate! The location is pretty centrally located in OC and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants in close proximity. Really appreciated the courtesy and professionalism of the front desk staff, restaurant staff and concierge. All in all, a great, quiet and enjoyable stay!

Our bathroom walls had long black hairs on them. The shower was dirty and the rooms smelled like gas station air freshener. Will not stay here again.

This was a great stay. My only complaint was that we had to pay for parking (not included in your booking fee); but I suppose that is common in the area now.

The Ayres hotel was a nice, clean stay. The lobby looked nothing like the pictures shown on the website. Not as updated looking, but was clean and professional. The free shuttle from the airport to the hotel was a wonderful service, and the front desk was very friendly. Unfortunately, the restaurant and room service does not offer anything that is gluten free, so keep that in mind when booking. My room was very clean and open. There was a wedding right outside my window one night, which made for a late night on my end. Being on a business trip and hoping to get an early nights sleep, I wish I had been notified of this beforehand. There were also issues with the hot water, which was frustrating when trying to get ready for the day.

My search is always filtered to select only hotels with free breakfast. I know that the breakfasts aren’t excellent food but it is convenient. Found out on day of checkin this hotel now has no free breakfast with any room. Wouldn’t have booked here. Too late to cancel. Hey to the hotel to find out they now charge for parking. In a location where parking fees really isn’t necessary. Just another junk fee. I realize that both of these issues are probably post Covid measures to make up for lost revenue, but the “surprise to me” changes have turned me off on this brand. This will be my last time.
