Reception Safe must be booked separately for an additional charge of EUR 2.50 / day, even though there is a safe in every room. In a 4-star complex (compared to others) this is included at no extra charge. Structure Hotel pools are rather small, with so many guests sunbeds are automatically reserved. Sports options OK for a 4-star complex Tennis, ping-pong, volleyball etc. Kids Clubs I can't comment on for small children. I assume teenagers If families come with young people, they will be forced to join the youth club. There is the so-called 18 year rule which means that young people are not allowed to play with the entertainment team or their parents. Although I asked for an explanation, I did not receive a reasonable answer. The entertainment team prefers to let guests from other hotels play, but they do not pay for the service. Insurance cannot/is not an argument, as families also insure young people. I was not the only one who was bothered by this rule. In theory, uninsured guests would have to lock themselves in their rooms. Animation Good approaches but unfortunately the arena is too small for the guests and the animation team would have to work with microphones. You can hardly hear anything from the back seats. Nothing like a 4-star hotel, you have to pay extra for the safe, and the same goes for the beach. The food is always the same, canteen food and the fruit have no taste, so the quality is poor in comparison. The young animation team tries hard, but doesn't involve guests enough. Young people are only allowed to take part in activities when they are 18... never experienced that before. Very arrogant atmosphere... we would never recommend Sotavento Beach Club to families with young people! It was a very bad experience
