Brilliant 10 day holiday at Taro Beach. Quiet, peaceful. Plentiful food and drinks. Daily housekeeping. Responsive reception. Great restaurant staff. Entertainment team fantastic and engaging. Pool great, beach and beach bar great. Only slight annoyance was queuing at the bar in the evening and not enough sun beds - however staff were great at shifting off towels of people who had selfishly saved beds when they aren’t allowed too. All in all a fab holiday would happily come back! Thank you SBH Taro Beach

This is nowhere near a 4 star hotel firstly the rooms are too small, there are no sockets next to the bed to charge a phone or tablet.I had to pull the fridge unit out to use the tv socket to charge my phone. The food is the usual "if it doesn't get eaten today it will get rehashed and you will get it for the next meal. Full of german tourists which is ok , but the entertainment staff don't even come near if your not german. Queue for the bar is unbelievable .1 staff for 20 guests at the bar, if you are wise you get 2 drinks at a time to save the wait. Been here 6 days and the room key has been reprogrammed 3 times. The resort is dead absolutey nothing outside the hotel. All inclusive hotel based resort , no bsrs outside of hotels. Give it a miss this hotel and Costa Calma

Currently at this hotel, day 5 already had item missing from my room. Not enough sunbeds or outside seating. Long queues for drink at night especially, not really a place for British. Beaches are are lovely but the beach beds are rental not the hotels. Located on a slope could be challenging for some people.

Positives: We liked the location - you can literally walk down a slope and you’re on the beach. The resort is quieter than Corralejo - fine for a week but if we went for two weeks we would book a busier resort. As a vegetarian, there was always something I could eat. Breakfast in particular was good, and I appreciated there were around 6 different types of milk to cater for everyone. There was always fresh fruit and a good range of desserts. Our balcony was lovely - definitely worth paying extra for front sea view. The bar staff were always friendly. Amstel, wine and sangria on tap. We used the tennis courts at the SBH Mónica, which are free for all SBH guests. We paid extra for the SBH wristbands which allow you to eat and drink at a few other hotels - this made a nice change (although we preferred the restaurant at Taro). Compared to the other SBH hotels, Taro Beach has a more relaxed feel and was quieter around the pool and in the restaurant. Negatives: In most 4* hotels, if you arrive before check in they make an effort to get you get you into your room asap. We appreciate this wasn’t possible and were prepared to wait until 2pm, but it was nearly 3pm before our room was ready. After a long journey this was a bit frustrating, and it was clear other guests had the same problem. They need to employ more cleaning staff or start cleaning rooms earlier if they can’t commit to a 2pm check in time. The rooms were often cleaned quite late, meaning we couldn’t use the balcony as much as we wanted to. On one day, our room wasn’t cleaned at all. We had to ask a few times and they kept saying they would send somebody. In the end we just asked for clean towels as we wanted to spend some time on our balcony and enjoy the sun, rather than vacate the room again. The maid who dropped the towels off looked annoyed at having to do this. The cocktails were undrinkable, aside from a Cuba Libre which is hard to get wrong. The mojito was a strange yellow colour, and I couldn’t drink the pina colada. I appreciate in a cheap all inclusive you get what you pay for, but other hotels manage it.

I cannot stress enough the importance of avoiding this hotel; your safety could be at serious risk. The negative reviews you have read online are warranted and reflect genuine concern. Tonight, we fell victim to a robbery after stepping out of our room (621). The lock on the patio door is severely faulty, creating a significant security vulnerability. Despite reporting this issue upon our arrival, the hotel manager failed to take our concerns seriously. The design of the patio door is deeply troubling—a simple hinge allows anyone to open it effortlessly from the outside. We even demonstrated this alarming weakness to the handyman, who confirmed how easily someone could access our room, regardless of the engaged lock. When I sought assistance from the receptionist, he refused to involve the police or security and suggested we prop the door shut with chairs. However, our room does not have chairs, leaving us with only plastic ones outside. We did reach out to the police, but their response was inadequate. They advised us to file a written report and wait until morning to speak with the hotel manager. More incidents were reported this evening, as we discovered after speaking with the receptionist and police. Our safety has been severely compromised during our stay. We have never experienced anything like this in a hotel before, and I strongly urge potential guests to reconsider if they value their safety.

We have just had the best holiday I could have wished for. I don’t understand all the negativity towards this hotel. The food was fantastic every day especially the Xmas day meal it was 5* . Staff were friendly and helpful. I asked at reception for an extra pillow and within half an hour one was delivered to the room. Yes the rooms are a little old fashioned but clean and comfortable and fully functional. There was no issues with security and we noticed the police were driving up and down the beach at night keeping an eye on things. I have returned home feeling rested , well fed and rejuvenated. Thank you taro beach we will definitely be back.

We stayed at SBH Taro Beach, and overall, the experience was positive. Here’s a breakdown: Location: Perfectly located right on the beachfront. Lots of souvenir shops nearby. Just 100m from the hotel, there’s an “African market” held several times a week — a good place to find unique gifts, sometimes cheaper than in stores. Room: We were first given a very run-down room with an unacceptable view. After explaining the situation at the front desk, we were promptly moved to a much better room. I’m sharing only the photos of the new room — the issue was resolved quickly. Service: The staff is friendly and polite. The main issue was inconsistent housekeeping: sometimes everything was spotless (even without tips), other times the room was poorly cleaned (despite tipping). It seems to depend on the individual cleaner. However, addressing it at reception always helped. The management team is responsive, and the hotel manager regularly checks in with guests — a definite plus. Food & Drinks: Great variety for a 4-star hotel: meat, fish, cold cuts, fruits, ice cream. Sparkling wine is served at breakfast every other day. Wine, sangria, Pepsi, Schweppes, and water available during meals. Full self-service setup — waitstaff only clear tables. On some days, they were fast and efficient; on others, not so much. Entertainment: The animation team is excellent — very energetic and positive from morning till night. They’re great with both adults and kids. Special thanks to Paolo and Suzy! Extras: Food and drinks can be taken outside the restaurant, which is very convenient. Used dish baskets are placed throughout the hotel grounds. There’s also a tide schedule at the front desk — helpful for surfers and beach walks. Wi-Fi is mediocre, but that might be a plus — after all, you're in Fuerteventura, not online. Conclusion: Very good value for money. I can definitely recommend SBH Taro Beach.

Great relaxing stay at Taro beach, nothing to complain about. Life was easy over there. Room was clean and nice, bathroom maybe a bit outdated but who cares. Great view from balcony directly to the sea and beach. Food was good with lots of variety. And drinks were available all day long. Great location for long morning walks. Pool area is ok and the animation team very energetic and friendly. I can definitely consider going back!
