I don't know from were comes negative reviews but i liked everything. Wi-fi perfect even on the beach Food for everyone's taste. Lots of fish food Rooms are big and with perfect look to the beach. I am solo and have 2 bedrooms. Alcoholic drinks nice again for everyone's taste.coctails, cava, bear, strong ones. Yes hotel basically have 90%older people but you can go to all sbh hotels around for only 5€per day just ask at reception for special bands.and you can eat and drink every day in different hotels. Thank you SBH hotel!i 100%recommend if you looking for perfect beach-relaxed holidays.

Arrived home today after a week at the SBH Fuerteventura playa rated by whoever as a 3 star . We are not nieve and usually stay at 3 star hotel as that's all that our budget allows us, but this was beyond anything we have stayed in before, and the hotel chain SBH should be ashamed. When we arrived we collected our keys and made our way to room 102 the corridor carpet was stained and filthy dirty but when we opened our room the smell of tom cat pee was unbelievable it was at this point I wish I'd asked to move but like I said we are easy going . There were cats roaming the corridors at night ? We woke up he next day for a shower and ready to enjoy our holiday. The beds were hard as a lot of reviews had said, but I get that they contract mattresses and are there to do a job . Sadly, the shower was cold as it was all week luke warm at best morning and evening, no real excuses for that . Breakfast was exactly the same every morning which was fine but table where full of dirty plates cups and glasses, no clean plates you had to wait for them to emerge from the kitchen and the food ran out most mornings . This was the same for lunch and evenings, exactly the same food every night .This is not a knock on the staff as they worked as hard as they could, just not enough of them . The room was cleaned twice in the week, and beds changed once, but sadly, there was no change to the smell in the room . The entertainment staff did there very best friendly warm people and as my daughter has special needs they where great with her and we deeply appreciate that but as a couple where only volunteers surly they should be getting payed something! The pool was dirty, especially the kids' pool. I heard one parent refuse to let her child in it . Gym no such thing 6 broken machines and no weights ,sauna didn't work and nobody knew where the key was anyway. Even the tabletennis table was broken in absolute joke . In general, the hotel is very, very tired, scruffy, broken tiles everywhere ,in desperate need of a lick of paint and a refurbishment. Definitely not a 3 star, and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone . On our 5th day a fellow hotel resident told us about the all inclusive bands you could buy that let you spend time at all the other SBH hotels and eat there food so we did that at 5 euros a day each . It was the best thing we did. The food was outstanding, and the pools were a lot cleaner and a million times better than where we stayed . Again, I know it was 3 stars and the other hotels were 4 stars, but the difference is unbelievable. If I'm honest I'm really saddened that SBH hotel chain and loveholidays to an extent let this happen, people spend there hard earned money for a week away once a year and you end up at a place like this.

The staff are a credit to the hotel, hard working, polite, friendly, helpful. There is a limited choice of food which is of an high standard. Sadly limited freshly cooked pancakes. Some still frozen in the middle. Lack of plates, cups at times. Staff work very hard. Facilities could be improved with a few higher standards of maintenance and care. Sweeping, removing cob webs. The location does have limited things to do. However you can pass a week walking along beach to different areas. Finding less windy spots and enjoying the chipmunks. Do spend some time researching daytime activities if this is important. The pool is very cold, however a lovely indoor pool is available which is much warmer and more pleasant. No one can describe the wind. I appreciate everyone says it is windy in canaries. But I do feel the hotel design creates a swirl of the wind rather than a shelter from it. Lovely spots provided close to beach with some shelter. In life you get what you pay for and with a little more research there is probably better. Costa calma beach for example. But the staff are not as friendly or helpful. If you want a week away without overindulging but eating nice food you will be fine.

We are just leaving and I have stayed in many all inclusive hotels , this not a 3 or 4 star , maximum 2 star , the food is the same every single day , bean soup , salad , tuna salad , tuna pizza and 2 different cakes I have never been to an all inclusive with the same food daily !!!! It was just me and a friend 4 nights stay. The rooms are dated and no kettle or cups in the rooms. The pool area is full of broken tiles. The pictures on here need updating as the hotel looks nothing like that I normally don't write reviews but feel this needed a review. If you are British this is not the hotel for you it's full of angry Germans! You may like it if you are over 70 nothing around no pubs or clubs just a few measly shops selling the same items! The hotel shop is WAY over priced !!!! The entertainment is non existent and the pool bar only has 1 worker so the ques are huge , we got bad stomachs of the food aswel and we didn't eat much as the food is not good atall. Just thought this review was needed as people would be disappointed coming here ! I'd never come back to this area or hotel. It is clean and rooms was cleaned but they are dated and need a re vamp!

I'm here and it's my first day. Room was tired and dirty as soon as we entered. Toilet and bath were minging and plug sockets coming away from wall. Door curtain hanging off rail in several places and pictures on wall were stained along with dusty, dirty lights. Outside balcany table and floor were filthy. I went back to reception and asked for another room but was told there wasn't any and to come back tomorrow. The receptionist said she was sending someone to clean the room but after we went back to our room, a few hours later, no one had been and it was still the same. .....So I took some photos.....(see below)..not impressed for a 4 star hotel. Food wasn't great and quite cold although there was a microwave to warm your food up. I chose the pork, but when I cut into it, parts of it was pink and bleeding on my plate so I left it. I ended up with the chicken which was ok. As far as my first day goes, I'm really disappointed and hope tomorrow is a better day.

Just arrived home from a week’s stay there and felt overall, it was a very good place to stay. Mostly German guests, some Spanish but not sure if they were canary locals or from mainland Spain considering the time of year, some British and Polish. Starting with the food. Plenty to choose from at breakfast but don’t expect a “full English” but have plenty of eggs, churros, cereals, fruit etc. lunches and evening meals are very good. The only beer on the tap is Amstel in half pint size glasses. Rooms are ok, small TV, comfy beds and they’re changed regularly. No room service on Wednesdays and Sundays. Doubt the hotel was full so plenty of areas to sunbath with some entertainment and activities from the animation staff but I didn’t get involved. Just a few steps to the beach with a variety of water sports available (I went kayaking), lovely walks up the coast and a view point to watch the sunrise. Well within a reasonable distance to get some drinks and bring them onto the beach but make sure all cups are returned to the bar. Some good entertainment on the evenings starting at 2100 from bingo to singers, nothing amazing but quite reasonable. Only a short walk to nearby shops, bars, restaurants and more entertainment. Bus stop to Morro Jable, the reception will help provide the bus service timings. Obviously, plenty of excursions available. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone to keep within a budget.

I will try my best to be honest. Am I recommending this hotel or will go again?? Definitely not ,will explain why. There were positive points in staffs who were friendly. But negative points so many thins to talk about them. First of all we had to wait more than 2 hours of check in time to get our room. Reception staff had no idea when rooms will be available. And it was not just us there were 5-7 families were waiting same as us. We were 3 people but there were 2 pillows we had to wait more than 4 hours for another pillow. Room services you should go to reception and asked not just once at least 3-4 times so you could have empty bins at least. For pool you must go 6 am to reserve otherwise no chance to have space to use pool. This hotel is not clean and it s too old, uncomfortable beds, dirty toilets which were close to the pool, no bins with lid in women toilets so dirty pads everywhere in toilets, corridors’s carpet too old and dirty. Most of the walls were mouldy even in the restaurant. Drinks were okay, Foods were too much but quality was too bad. First half an hour of each eating time was okay but after that still too much food but in conditions that you wouldn’t feel good to eat. Most of the food like: chicken, meat even had not been cooked properly.

We came to Fuerteventura with big excitement, as it was the only Canary Island we hadn’t visited yet. Sadly, choosing SBH Fuerteventura Playa completely ruined the start of our holiday. From the outside, the building looks like an old boarding house, more like a horror movie set than a hotel. Inside, the carpets are dirty and worn, the corridors smell like a mix of toilet and vomit, and dirty plates and glasses are left outside the rooms. Our room was poor. The TV didn’t work, and in the children’s room there was no main light, only two bedside lamps one of which was broken. One evening when we returned late, we found our hotel locked from the inside and couldn’t get in. A very unfriendly woman had to come and unlock it for us. The restaurant was terrible. Dirty tables and dishes that no one clears, no air conditioning, flies landing on the food and even cockroaches walking around the buffet. The food choice was very small: a few salads (some already spoiled), meat overcooked until it was like stone, chips full of old oil, and desserts limited to two small cakes and bad ice cream. Often the same food was served again the next day. There was nothing proper for vegetarians and the same tongs were used for meat, fish and salad. Our children refused to eat here after the first few days, which says a lot. The only things OK were the grilled fish and some fruits. The toilets under reception were disgusting, you can see broken doors, blocked urinals, dirt everywhere and wires hanging from a broken hand dryer. Reception was a disaster. Staff didn’t care, were rude and didn’t know what they were doing. We tried to book one of the themed dinners, and for three days we were sent away with “come back later”. No organisation at all. We only found out by chance, overhearing another guest, that you could buy wristbands to use the all inclusive in other SBH hotels. Reception never told us. First they said there were none, but later a different worker gave us the "last two ?" wristbands. Thanks to that, we spent the rest of our time in SBH Monica Beach Resort, which was amazing, and came back to Fuerteventura Playa only to sleep. Our kids called this place “the cave”. The bar staff acted like giving you a drink was a favour. They looked annoyed when you ordered something and treated guests with arrogance and rudeness. The tiles around the pool were broken and dangerous, and not only there. One night we saw sharp metal and nails sticking out on small bridge above an empty channel, which was also full of broken glass. Nobody cleaned it. Any child running there could easily cut themselves badly. At least 13 photos on the booking website were not from this hotel. They use pictures from other SBH hotels and nicer beaches to trick people. The reality here is nothing like the photos. One of the lifts was very dangerous, the ceiling had fallen down, wires were hanging out, and there was no warning sign. We even stopped another guest from walking in without notic
