Princess Inspire Tenerife - Adults Only

I don’t come to an adult only resort to get treated like a child. Loads of instructions on what you are not allowed to do and limitations. It doesn’t make for a very relaxing holiday I’m afraid. Can only use the pool for limited times, can’t get all inclusive drinks after a certain time. An all inclusive that isn’t really and charges for all sort of extras like using the jacuzzi and certain drinks (even an Aperol). This seems to be the way of the Canary Islands. It does look nice overall. There seems to be a lot of maintenance men around, but they seem to be focused on restricting how you use the Bali bed, rather than fixing broken items. And talking of Bali beds, we got a suite with its own Bali bed because we wanted to sunbathe near our room. However because of the time of year it only got the sun for 90 minutes a day at around 3:30. The staff were mostly friendly, some really helpful and others were just a bit tetchy. The gym got really busy from 8am and there wasn’t that much equipment to cater for the demand even in when the hotel wasn’t full. The food was very hit and miss too, sometimes quite good, other times definitely not of a quality worthy of a 4 star hotel. The entertainment and activities were good and the hotel itself is impressive, especially when lit up at night (although I don’t agree that this can be considered a facility of the hotel).

The staff here are all of a similar mind in that they wish you to have a wonderful time and from our experience they really do try. The Inspire Princess is not quite the perfect palace for all as there is a clear divide between those willing to pay more as Esencia guests and the rest! Even so the facilities are kept clean and tidy for all , the 3 pools , the areas for sunbathing, the bars but especially the food market restaurant and The One, Food is to a good standard with great breakfasts, from simple continental to full English , plenty of tea and coffee but got to say the drinks machine juices lack quality. Lunch has options of buffet or from a made to order menu whilst evening meals should meet everyone’s tastes, from salads, to grill cooking be it fish or steak, chicken etc or the main meat that could be , beef, pork, turkey with limited vegetables for choice. Although the Annex block of rooms are quite modern and comfortable and all with pool view they never get any sunshine morning, noon or evening and as a consequence those sun beds by the main pool area immediately infront of its shape are also devoid of sunshine! Entertainment came via the huge stage or beamed via the Lyon Bar for all to view, this stopped at 11pm but if you liked a disco this carried on till late Overall the hotel offers a good standard of accommodation, food and drinks that should make for a good holiday Tips: use the lift on level one to get to level 4 instead of climbing 52 steps; use the back gate to save walking around the hotel to better access the Obe bar or the Lyon bar

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for the first time over Christmas and will definitely be back. Standard rooms are large with plenty of storage space, a fridge, safe and ensuite shower. The rooms a beautifully decorated and are cleaned every day. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the evening entertainment is very varied. No need to get up early to grab a sunbed as you pre book them via the hotel app the day before. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Second time spending 5 days over New Year at this wonderful hotel. This time had a room overlooking the mountains. Room was clean and serviced really well and was very comfortable with a huge bed. All the staff were very friendly and courteous and worked so hard. New Year's eve gala dinner was again fantastic. The entertainment that night was not as good as the previous year, and the weather somewhat colder which did dampen the spirit a bit, but was still a very enjoyable evening. The entertainment on the other nights was perfectly good and great to sing along to. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and hope to be back again same time next year. This hotel was recommended by our local travel agent, on first impressions the hotel is stunning from the outside, we were checked in and has a room on the 5th floor level with reception. The room was spacious with a large balcony, the bathroom was strange with an open shower with no door, so no privacy, hood job we are a couple! The toilet had a sliding door. The room was cleaned every day but not to a high standard, corners in the bathroom were missed and there was hair behind the door in the toilet when we arrived. We had a standard half board room, so could only use the sunbeds round the "apparently " heated pool and 2 smaller upper areas. We found the different band system strange with separate areas like the upper balcony area with sofas and padded sunbeds only for essencia guests. Let's talk about the food which was definitely not 4 star, the breakfast was nice and plenty to choose from, but the evening was shocking, it was either cold or none left. We ended up eating out and swapping to lunch which you have to get a ticket from reception to change. We had our one meal been standard in "the one" restaurant which you had to book. Basically you get served a main at your table. You could definitely tell how the staff treat the standard people differently, the table next to us had black bands and the waiter couldn't do enough for them, we didn't even get offered deserts just the bill to sign for our drinks. The entertainment we watched a few nights which was definitely catered for the older generation, the abba tribute sounded awful and the acts were on a stage by the pool and felt so far away and there was no atmosphere. It was really poor standard for the hotel, we saw better in the Irish bar around the corner. The hotel itself is beautiful but is let down by the food and entertainment in my opinion.

Massive comfy bed, amazing food, exceptionally clean, 5 star hospitality. Not even one negative... Spacious rooms. ....................................................................... ...............................
