We only stayed one night but for that everything was very nice. We had a big apartment with a nice terrace and the breakfast buffet is also good

Just enjoyed a lovely much needed a JET2 all inclusive week away at Hotel Playa Olid in Costa Adeje Tenerife, good spacious accommodation, great food for a 3star all inclusive it has a good freshly cooked varied options each serving (the Chinese night was as good as any Chinese Restaurant) They also do the standard repetitive boring same stuff (hot dogs/ chips/burgers if you don’t wish to try something different) , there’s some weirdly funny nighttime entertainment, nice pools, pool tables, table tennis and clubs for young kids and a separate area for teens that has PlayStations, We were well looked after by all the staff, the drinks are local and so you have to go through a few to find something you like as some of it is harsh, the beer tho is Amstel…. Personally go for the Mojito, Wine, Baileys or Beer, the sangria was either hit or miss depending who made it… For a decent Latte order a coffee with Milk & a hot milk and poor them both into a bigger plastic glass and add some baileys The resort has lovely walks on front all the way to La Caleta, and we got sunny ☀️ hot weather all week… Just what we needed A good barometer of the kind of dedicated staff is that there was a hotel staff strike across Tenerife for 2 days, however you wouldn’t have noticed it here as the staff turned up and nothing at the hotel was seemingly effected unlike most of the 5star hotels that had pickets and big disruption for those days…

So let me start with saying I’ve been to a fair few all inclusive resorts in Spain and Tenerife with partner and children, varying hotel stars but mainly 3 star. I booked as a package via Jet2 based on images on jet2 and the hotels website and also reviews on here. The negative reviews didn’t bother me as I get that everyone has their own thoughts and preferences. Checked in nice and easy and had a room in block 1 floor 1. I booked a 1 bed premium room as we are 2 adults and 2 children. We actually received a 2 bed-brilliant I thought and then we walked in. The room was nothing like the images, it’s very dated, pine furniture and dark rooms other than the living area, safe to say I wasn’t overly impressed but at least it was clean. We had an en-suite however the shower head was broken so didn’t use the shower, no problem as we were only expecting 1 bathroom and only brought toiletries to share for 1 bathroom. The room had a patio which lead directly onto a sunbathing area, not too keen on this and would have preferred a room higher up for a balcony. The patio doors did not lock properly. You think they are locked however you can pull one the doors across the other and it will open despite being locked. There is a lot of Astroturf everywhere, not overly pleasant and filthy round the pool. Usual queuing for sunbeds around the main pool as it’s locked until 10am however you can easily get a sunbed on the terrace above the pool and outside our patio. Food is terrible. Not much choice and even the kids section didn’t have chicken nuggets- just the same tinned hotdog sausages and pretty awful looking burger patties every day. We had breakfast once, lunch once and attempted the evening meal twice all other times we ate out. Pros- *Staff were great especially the entertainment team. *Decent location. Cons- *as per above description. Would I come here again-absolutely not. It was an expensive holiday and gutted we wasted our money.

We stayed in a family room and were really impressed with how spacious it was a little dated but not an issue, had all we needed for the week. Having a kicthen area was a bonus, the room was very clean. Air conditioning worked very well. No issue – perfect for two adults and a toddler. Honestly, I’m glad we didn’t pay attention to the negative reviews because we had such a great time. The staff were super friendly and always happy to help. Cleaners were brilliant, clean towels, and bedding. I think we had 2 days where the cleaners didn't pop in again, not an issue. Also very honest we left money around the room which we thought we lost and the cleaners found it and put it on the side. The kids' pool was absolutely brilliant – our little one had the best time splashing around. There was loads of entertainment for the kids and adults. The mini disco was our daughters highlight of the week. The team really put in the effort to make sure everyone was having fun. The food was also great – loads of variety every day and something for everyone. The snack bar was also great when you have a toddler and the ice pops went down a treat. Drinks were not an issue for us, and we all found something we liked to drink. The views were lovely from the front of our room over looking the mountains and sea view to the side. We had a slight sea view and pool view from our balcony. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely come back. Great spot for families with young kids!

Currently sitting by the pool on our last few hours before we fly home today. Absolutely gutted to be going home, we usually go away for 10 days but done 7 this year due to work. We was really worried before flying out due to some of the reviews on here. I can tell you now, ignore them! I cannot fault this hotel, the staff, facilities and rooms are brilliant for a family holiday. The cleaners work tireless to keep this hotel clean and tidy. Absolutely brilliant. We have loved every minute of being here. We will be looking to book again for next year (10 days!) So close to the beach, not far from the airport either which is great for young children. As for the negative reviews, the soft drinks are like marmite I suppose, my eldest was absolutely fine. No complaints and the slushies were a hit with my youngest. Amstel on tap, for the husband and a few shandies for me. Even the food, it’s all inclusive buffet same as any all inclusive - some bits can be hit and miss but we didn’t complaint once about the food the minted lamb was probably the best we’ve ever had! You won’t regret the stay here, fab hotel, great atmosphere! See you next year Playa Olid!

I recently stayed at Hotel Playalido in Tenerife, and to be completely honest, I’m still wondering how this place manages to hold on to its 3-star rating — it must be by the skin of its teeth. The rooms are outdated, tired, and in desperate need of some TLC. While functional, they lack any comfort or charm you'd hope for on a relaxing holiday. The cleaning service was subpar at best a quick bed tidy and towel change seemed to be the extent of their efforts. One of the biggest frustrations was that we were placed on the fifth floor, and there was no lift access. With a 22kg luggage allowance, we had to carry heavy suitcases up and down the stairs not just once, but several times due to various issues. Absolutely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to cater to holidaymakers. The all-inclusive drinks were a major disappointment. Only local spirits and cheap soft drinks are available, and the quality is noticeably poor. Not what you'd expect when booking a package with a reputable travel company like Jet2. The pool areas are small, cramped, and far too crowded to enjoy properly. Sunbeds were a rarity unless you queued early in the morning, and there’s barely space to move once the area is full. As for the food I wouldn’t even compare it to budget hotel fare. It reminded me more of a tired, greasy café back home. Repetitive, lukewarm, and lacking variety or taste. All in all, I’m disappointed that Jet2 recommended this hotel. I booked with them expecting a certain standard and will be thinking twice before trusting their listings again. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to do their research before booking.

We usually go away for 10 days but could only manage 7 this year due to work commitments—and honestly, we're gutted we didn’t book longer. We were a little apprehensive before arriving due to some of the reviews, but we’re so glad we gave Playa Olid a chance, because we absolutely loved every minute of our stay! The hotel is spotlessly clean—the maids work incredibly hard and it really shows. The apartments are huge, giving us plenty of space to relax, and we had beautiful views to enjoy. It’s also in a brilliant location, really close to the beach and not far from the airport, which was ideal for travelling with little ones. As for the food and drink—it's exactly what you'd hope for with an all-inclusive stay, varied, and always something to enjoy. That said, we also ate out 2 or 3 evenings to soak in the stunning local scenery and try a few restaurants—we'd highly recommend doing that too! The entertainment for kids was great, and all in all, it’s just a fantastic place for families. Thank you, Playa Olid, for a wonderful holiday—we’ll definitely be seeing you next year. Gracias!!

Spent a fab 10 days here at the beginning of July. Family of 3 (53, 51, 18) Loved the room set out (we were in a Premium one bedroom apartment) separate bedroom and plenty of space in the living area for the sofa and a separate bedroom that was provided. My son pushed the 2 together for a double sized bed! Air con worked a dream. Comfortable enough, cleaned daily (except Thurs & Sun). Bathroom towels supplied. Shampoo & soap in a dispenser in the shower - no other toiletries supplied. Hairdryer is fixed in the bathroom, short flex, have to hold the button in for it to blow - but it works. We didn’t use the kitchen facilities other than the fridge for a few drinks. Decent amount of clothes storage space. Safe in the room - had to pay to use for the stay. Free Wi-Fi - worked okay throughout the hotel. 2 main pools - not massive, but not overcrowded. The 2nd pool at the back is much quieter (we stuck to this one!) Gates to the pool open at 10am. Our first few days we wandered down 5 minutes before and had plenty of choice. Then half of Ireland & Liverpool arrived and it got a bit busier! 😂 Wandered down 15 minutes before to get the sunbeds we were after. Main restaurant was good. Sometimes busy, but always found you a table. Decent choice of food, varied most days. Had the constant: chips, hot dogs, burgers & pizza for the less adventurous! 😝 Food was always warm. Full salad bar & dessert options. Snack bar available above the main pool - we only used it once - basic supply of chips, burgers, sandwiches etc. We preferred the choice of the main restaurant. Bars were all manned by friendly staff. Didn’t have to wait too long. Constant flow of any drinks you wanted. Could get busy at times in the Millenium bar when the shows were on. Wasn’t overly keen on the taste of the coke on its own - but it was fine with some rum or vodka in it! 🤣 🥃 Good spot with easy access to the beach and harbour. Plenty of local bars if you want a change of scenery. Curry house just near the hotel is fab if you want somewhere different to eat! 😋 If you’re booking trips, go see Jani at Cruzia excursions (just round the corner from MacDonalds) - top guy. Not pushy & decent prices compared to some of the others. We did: waterpark, jet skis, karting & off road buggy tour. Siam Water is a must visit 💦 this is actually why we booked the holiday in Tenerife! Overall - a decent, basic place to stay. Few spots could do with an update, lick of paint, but no issues.
