PlayaOlid All Inclusive

Have just spent the last 5 days at PlayaOlid and loved it. The staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. The activities for families are plenty. I stayed in the deluxe apartments which were great. A bit tired looking but just what you need in the way of somewhere to sleep. The food and snack options were fantastic, something for everyone. The only negative I have is the fact that guests smoked and vaped on the loungers at the pool, especially by the family pool near the reception area. Apart from that I had a great time. This was a work holiday. I enjoyed it so much I am planning on taking my sons here in October 2024.

Room was lovely, the staff work so hard except the daytime entertainment staff, they sometimes announce an activity but don't actively ask guests if they would like to play, then play amongst themselves and the lifeguard. Worst entertainers ever and let the team down. The drinks were pretty bad, the mixers were like syrup and absolutely awful, this needs addressing Food was edible but it you have an allergy or vegan then it's not for you.

Came away for a week with my partner, arrived late and was given a sandwich, fruit and bottle of water as we missed tea, nice gesture. Room very spacious, clean on arrival, bathroom in my opinion needs updating and better shower heads. Shower going hot and cold so never had just a hot shower always went cold for at least 5 minutes We stayed for 7 days and our room was not cleaned at all during our stay, only had fresh towels once. When I asked reception about cleaning the room it was only cleaned on request by us, but we were not aware of that. Pool areas okay, plenty of sun-beds always got one every day. Throughout the day it got messy around the sun-beds with cups, plates ect. I understand people should put them on the trolleys provided for dirty cups and plates but some didn’t, maybe have someone go round and collect throughout the day so can keep it clean and tidy. Sun-beds cleaned every night so ensure clean for next day. Snack bar good food throughout the day and drinks good, could have done with a bar at the main pool in my opinion as always busy. All inclusive food - good. Fajitas we had one night were lovely, rest of nights were also good. Overall a good week away, would probably not return.

Dated,not the best food/drink,poor cleaning of rooms,didn't change bedding once during our week stay,people asking to change rooms regularly, due to various broken items, very noisy, during night,near busy road up a steep hill,entertainment hit and miss

I really do not know why this place gets bad reviews. We arrived late and was given food , sandwich apple pear and bottle of water, admitted not the best, was given wrong room but rectified the next day, No problem. This time of year was plenty of sunbeds, although you had people at gates there really was no need. Food was good always something to eat, staff friendly. The drinks were best we have ever had for an all inclusive, Rooms are spacious, we had a great time, It is not on a steep hill so no huffing and puffing to get back to hotel after going to beach, which is 10 min walk. Entertainment was hit and miss but we had some really good nights in the hotel, if you don't want to stay simply pop down road where there is plenty going on. Yes we would most definantley come back. The lay out is a bit odd and underpass to back pool could do with a make over . Add a few plants and cool lighting maybe, Appearance of Hotel could do with a coat of paint, but having said that it is a great bargain all inclusive Hotel.

We arrived around 9.30 pm ,Check in was straight forward and was given a bag containing sandwiches fruit and water. Room big and spacious and lovely view overlooking back pool and we could see the sea.Restaraunt food ok but did eat out a few times. Breakfast was a bit repetitive. Snack bar had hotdogs/pizzas/ fries but i wouldn't recommend the burgers. Most of the staff friendly throughout the hotel. Drinks local liquor but beer/spirits and cocktails are fine, you have to pay though after 11pm. Location great, bus stop just outside to Los cristianos 15mins away and Bus to Lora Park and Siam park 5mins down the road, outside Fannabe plaza. Beach 10mins down a slight hill but nothing we couldn't handle.Lots of bars,shops and restaurants.. Recommend the Indian restaurant next door food spot on.. On a down note the rooms were not cleaned properly as there was dust/hairs and sand in our rooms. Cleaner came at 9am then never came back,as we we're just getting up.. oh and there's no cleaners Thursday or Sundays.. Kids entertainment thoughtout the day and Evening disco really good but Evening Entertainment though was awful. Be prepared to que for sunbeds as people queing as early as 8am and gates not open til 10am..Overall had an average stay with my partner and boys aged 10 and 16..

Hotel food was ok , drinks was absolute crap . Pool closed at 18.00 then lockedup . People squeezed in the sunbeds like sardines ( the pool area is small ) Fag butts and rubbish left by the pool at the end of the day , shows the sort of people that stay here . It's cheap for a reason . If possible pay a few more hundred quid and go somewhere nice .. this is like butlins crossed with Benidorm , it's so small the no escape either 🥴 Never go back .

Me and my partner had the pleasure of staying here for two weeks. I would not recommend. Drinks are poor, food is average & hotel staff are not that keen to help. Sun beds are an issue, people queuing from 8:30am for a 10.00am opening of the swimming pool- beds are within inches of eachother so don’t expect privacy. Rooms are a typical 3* few marks around, some mould also but basic. You get use to the sewage smell after a week- it is constant. Entertainment all day again is pretty basic- perhaps better if travelling with children. If you’re hoping for a clean room- this isn’t the place for you, as said above we have been here for two weeks. The room has been cleaned 3 times and that is only because we begged the hotel staff and after the 4th conversation something was done. Sadly this was my first time coming to Tenerife and on this assumption I do not think I will be coming back.
