Great location if you wish to have a more quiet getaway on an otherwise busy Tenerife. Pool is excellent and a 2 min walk from 2 beaches.

Our stay at the hotel fully lived up to our expectations regarding the quality and service that a five-star hotel should provide. The “firm hand” of the hotel’s general manager, Cristina Aguiar Rivero, was clearly felt—everything was so well-organized and efficient: cleanliness, order, excellent service, and diverse, delicious food. The hotel is located right by the beach, close to a promenade, shopping, and high-quality restaurants. And let’s not forget the seawater pools and the wellness center. This hotel exudes an atmosphere of tranquility and relaxation. Our room had an ocean view, and every day we watched the sunrise and sunset from the terrace. If we decide to visit Tenerife again, there will be no need to think twice—our choice is Grand Tacande! A huge thank you to Kristina and the entire staff for a wonderful stay! See you again! My wife, two kids, both 15, and I are currently staying at the hotel. Would rate this as no better than decent 4*. Biggest complaint is how cold the pools are……literally unbearable and never experienced anything like it. No one uses the pool as it’s far too cold despite the fact it’s advertised as ‘heated’. Really disappointed for the kids and being unable to use the main facilities for an entire holiday is unacceptable!

We are here as a couple in this beautiful traditional Canary Island hotel. I normally write my review when we get back but feel that due to recent reviews the staff and hotel definitely warrant a five star review. You have wonderful staff here, fabulous rooms and excellent food. The areas around the poolside have plenty of space with not many people reserving beds. Yes there is some building works going on. They are constantly thriving to upgrade each area and this has to be done at some time especially as we are getting close to Christmas. The building works outside the hotel is obviously out of the hotels control yes sitting on top of this area can be noisy but the various pool areas you have at the hotel the noisy areas can be avoided. We are in the gold area but use all of the pool areas for variation. All areas are suitable for children. I must mention the spa as it is one of the best I’ve ever seen absolutely beautiful. The staff make this hotel Monika is wonderful and nothing is too much trouble and Victoria. I feel awful as I’m sure that I have spelt their names wrong! Filipe is lovely at our pool bar again couldn’t do enough for you. If you want authentic Spanish hotels with a 5 star experience then this hotel definitely has it. We arrived and tried to access the internet. We had six devices (phones, tablets, notebook). Each would join a few seconds and then drop off. I called GEX (guest experience) and they promised to investigate. We never heard back. I discovered two antennas sticking up above the TV. They were connected to the WiFi router. I pulled the electrical cord out and stuck it back in. All six devices connected and stayed connected. GEX never replied. We had to do this almost daily. Our devices worked flawlessly in all other areas outside our room such as the pools. During our stay, the hotel converted from a common WiFi key to a portal that uses your room number. Things were stable following that. Then we noticed it was getting very warm in the room. We played with the thermostat. Setting the temperature down and then up. Turning off and then on. We couldn’t get the air conditioning to react to anything. I tried calling both GEX and the front desk. Neither answered. We had had a long day and flight. We couldn’t unpack our stuff as we didn’t know if we could live in this room. Finally , I walked to the front desk and they reset the air conditioning remotely . The room immediately started cooling down. We had to call the front desk almost daily for a reset. The a/c would then activate immediately during the call. Why the front desk should control the a/c is a riddle to me. There is a motion sensor in the room that doesn’t turn anything on. I suspect, it turns stuff off when no motion is detected. Possibly a malfunctioning sensor? There was a bathtub in the bedroom. Not a whirlpool or tub with jets. Just a single occupant Holiday Inn style standard bathtub.. If you used it, you would drip water in your bedroom getting out of it. It is longer than the bed and a potential death trap going to the toilet in the dark. Don’t do that though. There are no nightlights and the tub protects the route. Assuming you make it to the bathroom alive, you are guaranteed to wake up all other occupants of the room. The baths have loud glass sliding doors. If the door doesn’t wake everyone up, then turning the light on will. The light shines through the glass doors directly at the headboards of the bed. The toilet whistled like a banshee when flushing. Then you had to slide the loud door again to escape. Poor room design. Enough of the complaints. We didn’t go to Tenerife to stay in the room. Everyone at the hotel was friendly to a fault. Breakfast had a wide variety of quality food. Pool bar prices were quite reasonable. Parking was free. The pool area was nice with sufficient lounge chairs and convenient to the beach. The fitness room was well equipped with good and varied equipment. We did not book half board, I can’t say how dinners were. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Options were available for all budget ranges. We booked through Tui.

Difficult to some up this hotel it’s has some good points and some bad one, so overall it ok but wouldn’t come back Stayed in the gold section which had a very large room which was quite nice but had some tacky snags like torn sheets ,safe didn’t work. But did include free drinks and snack and a private area which was nice When you first into walk in the hotel it’s dark dingy and lacks any class, which is such a shame as if wouldn’t take much to give a first good impression with some design Staff are lovely and helpful and pools are stunning and large which we did enjoy This is again let down by poor breakfast which is all about quantity and not quality, again the layout of this eating area is all straight line of table, this would take much money or effort to reorganize this areas with different seating, maybe high tables, sofa areas and some plants to break up the design So some good and some bad you can choose
