This hotel is very good, the view is beautiful, especially there are singer performances in the open-air bar at night

The hotel has an invincible sea view, especially the restaurant is very beautiful, but the hotel is not suitable for parents and children, there is no kids club, the food is not bad! The lawn is also beautiful!

Visited almost a year ago, have travelled extensively, but this was possibly the best hotel we have stayed in. Very clean, tidy and much attention to detail. Great staff, very helpful and food…lots of choice and of a good standard. In fact we loved it so much, we rebooked as soon as we arrived home and are visiting again in a months time..can’t wait!!! We had a side sea view room which didn’t disappoint and asked that our mini bar be emptied so we could use it as a fridge, nothing here is a problem, fridge had been emptied by the time we got to our room from reception, I call that good service!! Look forward to our revisit shortly! Thank you, amazing RiuPalace!

Beautiful hotel, facilities All top class. Staff are amazing and seem to genuinely care that you have a good time. No issues with sunbeds - they were available at any point in the day that you required one, and there was availability wherever you preferred to be located. Though the whole hotel was half board, we ate and drank as we wanted, and the bill at the end was lower than we had expected. I drank wine by the glass as advised by previous guests on here as the measures are large. Equally, the cocktails are super strong. The two on-site speciality restaurants serve amazing food which would easily cost over 70 euros for a couple if you were eating out. We didn't take up the offer of the Riu party but it looked amazing and would definitely do it on a return visit. Don't get an Uber ask reception to ring a metered taxi - we went to Fanabe twice (loads of shops and bars there) and the taxi was between 5 and 7 euros - Uber were quoting 16 euros. All in all excellent value for money, brilliant relaxing holiday.

We stayed here for 7 days recently (30th June to 7th July and I don't get why it gets rave reviews. First off, the good - the staff are outstanding, from front of house to the cleaners, everyone is so polite and attentive. This was the standout for me, really top notch. The hotel location and setting is really nice too. Just about the right distance from the main area with a nice beach and costal walk into the town. That's where the main positives end. For us, a family of 4, two adults and two children it just wasn’t a great fit. It's definitely more suited towards an older audience. The hotel, to me at least, feels dated in some areas. The rooms were clean but needs modernising in the corridors, we were on level 4 and it felt dark and dated. Our Room was in a dark area, and it always felt like it was night time leaving the room with no natural light. The most frustrating thing about this place is the hidden costs. Water is free in the morning but in the evening its nearly 4 euro? why? completely mad. Makes no sense. Water should be free all the time, not just in the morning. Food and drinks outside of Breakfast and Dinner were overpriced and in the end, we avoided drinks in the evening completely. The food itself was ok, nothing amazing. No better than a 4 star we stayed at last year. The two à la carte restaurants had nice food however. We paid for a room view ‘upgrade’ for the one room but it barely any different to the standard room, maybe an extra 0.5m of sea/beach view. The main view consisted of a rocky flood relief channel to the sea and a horrible red coloured hotel opposite. I complained and met with the manager only to be told they were full and there was nothing they could do about it (fair enough) The shower in the one room leaked onto the floor however to the hotels credit, when I mentioned this it was fixed within 30 minutes which again speaks volumes to the staff and their care towards guests. On the 5th night there was a free bus (and free drinks, including water, hurrah) to their sister hotel further north, upon arriving here we realised we had booked the wrong hotel. The other hotel felt more modern and had a much nicer vibe. This hotel is defiantly more suited to the older clientele (55+) They state there is a no reserve policy on the sunbeds, but this was never carried out, 95% of the beds were towled up by 9am so it was nearly impossible to get 4 beds together without slumping to everyone else’s levels of rushing out to reserve them before 8am. Furthermore, there was a definite anti English vibe at this hotel. A lot of starring at us from other guests and it made us feel quite uncomfortable for most of the time. We are a quiet family and weren’t loud or intrusive to others, yet we were constantly starred at by others. The entertainment was average at best and cringe at worse, again it was definitely more suited to an older audience. Did I enjoy our stay here? Yes, but I wouldn’t go back. There’s no way this is a 5-s

My family of five stayed here in August 2023 and we weren’t quite sure how it would be in reality as opposed to the reviews and website. It was brilliant. Food was good (although a little limited in choice and you have to be quick with booking the “special” restaurants after your arrival as they get booked up quickly and some are only open once a week!) but that’s not the highlight. The highlight is one of many. The cleanliness, the ready availability of sun beds, the waitress service during the day, the staff friendliness and professionalism are all more than good and more than usually get. We had an issue with our rooms not being adjacent (as requested) but the next day this was sorted by the reception desk staff which was really appreciated. Nayi served us our drinks and lunches during the week to our sunbeds and she deserves a mention as she was so friendly, helpful and “on it”. We are not the most easily pleased family but this hotel stands out above the norm such that we’re returning in July!

This was our second visit to this hotel and we really enjoyed it! most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities are pretty good. The food and drink were very good, although we would prefer more options to enjoy a-la-carte dining, rather than buffet.

Lovely hotel & super clean and well maintained by RIU personnel & management. Situated right on the beach front so perfect location RIU staff all very friendly and happy. Food was was pretty good to be fair. Entertainment during the evening on the main stage was about 5 out of 10. ( It's the first time Ive stayed in a five star hotel an been asked 26 Euro's for the room safe for 7 days, that should be for in my eyes).

The hotel has many positives but a few negatives. Positives Contemporary clean and comfortable Space in rooms Space outside Near beach Good access to seafront Friendly staff Negatives Sewage smell in room for whole holiday. No other rooms to move to Rugby scrum at breakfast and dinner Queues for outside dining space- we ate inside Gluten free options are limited and staff knowledge is average at best Gym is small for the number of guests that want to use it Should utilise the space in the grounds better and perhaps have more sun loungers (most get taken by 9am)
