The receptionist literally cut me off while I was explaining and just shouted “Listen!” at me — super rude.We didn’t have any drinking water in the room for two days, only expensive bottled ones for sale. Honestly, that just feels a bit aggressive. When we asked if the snacks were chargeable, she snapped back like, “Isn’t that just common sense?”There was zero sense of service or respect, and honestly, it even felt like we were being treated differently.

We stay at the Gran Tinerfe every summer and absolutely love it, so we decided to spend Christmas & New Year there this year too. The holiday was quite expensive but they always are over the Christmas period. We had a lovely time, as always staff are second to none always helpful, rooms cleaned on a daily basis etc ! The only heated outdoor pool is looking quite grubby now with black tiles (grout turned black) so hence i didnt go in it because it was quite off putting. In summer we go in the large pools they seem better although cracked tiles here & there. We were really disappointed with the Christmas food and entertainment, the food was really no different than any other night although they did decorate our tables and outside of the restaurant which was lovely. The entertainment was 3 women singing which was ok but the a rock band on afterwards, it just didn’t seem like Christmas Day whatsoever ! Lots of couples were saying it was a let down not Christmassy one bit ! New year’s eve was pretty much the same, apart from the grapes & fireworks at 12am we didn’t really enjoy that entertainment either. The best act out of the stay at this hotel was Freddy Mercury he was amazing !! They should have put him on for New Year’s Eve ! Considering we usually stay at the H10 Conquistador is Las Americas down the road for Christmas & New Year which is the same hotel chain their entertainment is 2nd to none, very festive i.e Nativity scenes, full singing choir in the reception area etc etc. Not a rock band ! All in all we enjoyed our holiday because we went out of the hotel most days/nights. We will return for our summer holiday but wont return to this hotel for the Christmas/New Year celebrations.

We’ve visited quite a few H10 hotels and always found them pretty good — this one included. We usually try to avoid very built up areas, but due to a combinations of factors ended up in this very busy location. We found staff members to be very efficient and friendly. We had a good sea view room on the seventh floor. The room is fine, although we’d have liked a bit more storage place for clothes (some drawers). Or maybe one of us brings too much :) The main restaurant was very busy in the mornings, unless you turn up early. We aren’t fans of buffets and so used the Privilege service for a la carte evening meals. We found the food to be very good — and generous in quantity. They even put on a ‘Sunday Lunch’ for British guests (but it’s not as you may know it). We also benefited from the quiet lounge and outdoor sun area. The pool areas are spacious and pleasant. We had a very windy week, which was better for walking than lounging around. The entertainment lounge was popular, seemingly packed every night. The hotel bar in the lobby area has limited seating for those who skipped the shows — but it usually worked out OK. It was a pleasant week. I enjoyed the opportunity of talking to staff from so many different countries. In summary: if you like busy places, plenty of entertainment and a nice hotel, this will likely suit you.

I have just returned from a fabulous stay at this wonderful hotel - the ‘stand-out’ aspect being the welcome and professionalism of ALL staff. On reading reviews before travelling, I was concerned about a few things. I now feel that tripadvisor for some, appears to be used as a platform to complain rather than praise. The only negative comment that I have read that appears to be fair, is that some of the rooms are becoming tired and in need of a refresh. The widespread sickness bug reported by some (which dulled my excitement about my upcoming holiday) does not appear to be anything more than you would expect where hundreds of people are using the same facilities - if you are one of the unfortunates, I do accept that this would spoil your holiday. Hand sanitizer does not kill sickness viruses, so hand washing is the key and people can be poor at doing this! Frustrating for those who do wash their hands and get ill because of those that don’t! All staff preparing food wore gloves and the restaurants were all spotless. The food was excellent - great variety and standard. The Italian restaurant was fantastic - didn’t get to try the Mediterranean restaurant due to the timing of our stay not fitting with the evenings that it was open and not fully booked. We had a gorgeous room but we did pay for an upgrade and many things that you had to pay extra for, were included in our package - if you read the hotel details before booking, none of these charges should be a surprise. The room was cleaned everyday and an issue with our toilet in the middle of the night was dealt with very efficiently - an immediate change of room for a few hours until fixed. The entertainment was not always to our taste, but the hotel is catering for a variety of age-groups. We saw an outstanding rock band and a spectacular acrobatic display. Any noise that might have prevented sleep was from the hotel entertainment and was finished by 11pm. A truly wonderful and sunny week in our ‘Happy Place’. Thank you H10 Gran Tinerife!!

Just came back and all I can say is What amazing staff, so therefore an amazing holiday. Yes the hotel is old and there are a few tired areas, but only if you go looking. I stayed as a preferred guest which includes the a la carte restaurant for all your meals. These guys are the absolute best and made every meal so special. If you like dressing for dinner and being severed by great people then preferred is the way to go, but it also has a great buffet restaurant if you’re not so keen.

A Magical Christmas and Birthday at H10 Gran Tinerfe! We had the most unforgettable stay at the H10 Gran Tinerfe over Christmas, which also included my birthday on Christmas Eve. The hotel made it a truly special celebration, going above and beyond in every way imaginable. Birthday & Christmas Surprises: On Christmas Eve, I was completely spoiled by the hotel staff. Without even asking, they surprised me with a bottle of fizz and a beautifully presented cake—it was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. It made my birthday feel incredibly special and added a personal touch to the already amazing festive atmosphere. The Festive Atmosphere & Christmas Day Magic: The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with twinkling lights and festive touches throughout. On Christmas Day, the gala meal was absolutely fantastic. The food was exquisite, the atmosphere was warm and joyful, and the live entertainment added a touch of elegance to the celebration. At noon, the cleaning and cooking staff were all presented to the guests, and it was such a joyful experience. Each of them had a glass of fizz in hand, and they were laughing, joking, and clearly enjoying themselves. Their happiness was infectious, and before we knew it, we were all laughing and joking along with them. It created such a warm and lively vibe, bringing everyone together to celebrate. Moments like that are what make Christmas magical. Entertainment Highlights – Sangria Making! The entertainment staff were absolutely fantastic and really added to the fun. One of the highlights of our stay was attending a sangria-making lesson. We thought we knew what sangria tasted like—turns out we’d never had the real thing before. Now we have, and it was absolutely delicious! The staff made the lesson fun, interactive, and engaging, and we came away not only with new skills but also with big smiles and great memories. Rooms, Location & Beach Access: Our room was spotless, stylish, and very comfortable, with a balcony offering breathtaking sea views. One of the highlights of the hotel is the entrance that leads directly onto the beach—it’s so convenient and adds to the relaxing vibe. The location is perfect, with the beach just steps away and plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. Dining: The food at the H10 Gran Tinerfe was exceptional from start to finish. The buffet offered a fantastic variety of dishes, from fresh seafood to indulgent desserts. The à la carte restaurant was also a highlight, with exquisite food and top-notch service. Facilities & Staff: The pools and spa were fantastic, offering a peaceful retreat with plenty of sunbeds available. However, it’s the staff who truly make this hotel stand out. They are warm, attentive, and genuinely care about making your stay unforgettable. Their kindness and attention to detail, especially with the birthday and Christmas touches, were second to none. A Note About the Resort: While our stay at the hotel was flawless, the resort it

We have just returned from our holiday here. The hotel is clean and well presented. The staff are welcoming and hard working. We had upgraded to a sea view room which had fantastic views, but loud, repetitive music from the "sunset chill out" bar which made sitting on our balcony tedious, along with plumes of smoke from other balconies. Our room had a pod coffee machine but no tea making facilities at all. Not great for tea drinkers. The tea at breakfast is not pleasant either, take your own tea bags! The food was adequate, but not to a standard we were expecting after having to book a time every evening on the hotel app. Sun bathing areas and pools were lovely, especially the freezing cold one - very refreshing! Our, and many other guests, main complaint was about the elevators or lack of them. We were on the 5th floor of 11 guest floors and on most occasions took about 15 minutes to get to the ground floor, we walked down the stairs several times. Most of the guests in the hotel were in their senior years and needed use of the elevators more than we did. Overall, a nice hotel on the beach but not value for money.
