The location is relatively remote, with nothing nearby. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the city center. The hotel has its own parking lot. The attitude of the front desk and breakfast service staff was very good.

This hotel is suffering from a raw sewage backup smell that has prevented me from opening a door or window. It has permeated my entire floor. It also has a significant propane leak which is noxious and dangerous. The room ventilation does not work. I complained to management each day from my first day. They said my room was non refundable no matter what the problem is. They haven't corrected either problem and wouldn't let me out of my reservation even though I told them I am severely asthmatic. My 2 friends have experienced the same issue with their rooms. There is also a construction site next door. The hotel itself is pretty inside (outside not so much), the food is great and the spa is lovely. The staff is gracious except for management, who doesn't care about client service. The stink of it all! Stay away.

Hotel is nice but grossly overpriced. We have stayed in several 4 stars hotels in that region that provided similar or even better experience for a lower price. Even though we paid $470 per room (& breakfast) supposedly with a view we were given a room with no view. After complaining we were moved to a better room. We also found out that our non-refundable rate paid well in advance was HIGHER than the current rate. Location is a bit out of the center. There were other minor issues. Again the overall experience was fine but it was not a good value. I wouldn’t return.

We loved our stay at this oasis after a week hiking the Dolomites and staying in rifugios. It was the perfect place to relax and feel luxurious in this very well appointed hotel with a lovely spa, spa services and pool. Augusto was so helpful and friendly as were all of the staff. It’s a short walk to heart of the town but taxis were easy to get as well. And look at these tomatoes! I mean- really, only in Italy! Grazie Mille for a great stay.

We had a great stay in hotel & spa Lajadira. The beds are comfortable, rooms very nice, the pool is just beautiful, jacuzzi massage works splendid and the spa zone is spacious. Sunbathing deck is also great. But the peak of our stay was Augusto and the prosecco he served :) Great guy, we enjoyed talking to him.

We stayed here for the weekend. Hotel about twenty minutes away from the center on foot (very nice walk on the cycle path), always present shuttle service to go to and from the center of Cortina. Nice and spacious room with everything you need, from the courtesy set to the coffee machine. Spa not very large but complete with every service. Excellent and complete breakfast! Very kind staff. A great experience!

Let's start by explaining the positive aspects which are the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness and a good-sized spa in the new wing. The price is not justified, 40 minutes away in Val Pusteria there are 5-star hotels that offer double the service, it cannot always be justified because you are in Cortina, now a pearl of the Dolomites that has become obsolete and opaque. We were entitled to an upgrade to the junior suite (under new construction) because we asked for a couple's massage, in this room we were immediately shown a fan because it had no air conditioning (the temperature reached 25 degrees in the room). In the bathroom the sink was leaking water and a couple of tiles next to the mirror were at risk of falling because they were detached. Furthermore, in a part of the room where there was a large window you could see the wood damaged, probably due to humidity due to condensation. Last detail, the view is from the back of the old hotel, so you have to imagine the mountains a little. We are sorry for the staff who we found extremely friendly and professional, but this is unfortunately lost when management does not pay attention to details. Cortina has enjoyed a name that has brought wealth since the 1960s, but few have invested worthily.
