We were in a two bedroom apartment with a non functioning kitchen. We couldn’t make out why it was there as it had cooking equipment and a very dirty oven. There was a rather nasty smell which may have been the greasy oven. The air conditioning worked well but the bathroom was very basic and had a water leak between the loo and bidet. It was clean but it seemed to be an overspill room as the furniture was a strange mixture of old and very old. Metal bedside tables and a dining table and chairs with no purpose. The food was fine but seemed overpriced. However if you don’t want to drive elsewhere then that’s what you pay. Breakfast was a buffet but anything extra required additional payment. Milk was dispensed at the bar as needed - you put cereal in the bowl then took it to the bar for milk to be added. Never seen this done before so quite funny. The smell of the local cows was quite overpowering and as a wedding venue it would be a disaster. Beautiful building, the children enjoyed the pool but could not recommend.

The hotel is indeed, as many other people have commented, in need of maintenance. The potential is certainly there but the upkeep is quite poor. We had a large, superior room which is quite basic. With a little paint and some new furniture it could be so much better. It feels as if it was just left in the current state without having any work done for decades. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning certainly worked very well. The bathroom was spacious but needs a good scrub. The toiletries were the cheapest possible and only had soap and shower gel. The breakfast had a lot of sweet pastries so if you’re trying to maintain a somewhat healthy diet, it’ll be nearly impossible. The selection was also very inconsistent so on some morning they had boiled eggs and on others they didn’t. 90% of the food available was sweet. The pool area is also very basic. It was, however, clean and had a bar where you can buy drinks, ice cream and lunch. We ordered two poke bowls, 15e each which were very disappointing so definitely not recommended. The pool is also heavily used by people who are not staying at the hotel. On the weekend, when they had a lot of external visitors, they point you a sun lounger so you are not able to choose one yourself. This was very confusing as we were the 1st ones by the pool that day. We did manage to agree on where we wanted to stay but it did feel very strange that you don’t have any say in where you want to stay by the pool. You get pool towels from the reception which are not changed so we had to use the same towels for three days. The general look and feel of the hotel is quite poor, unfortunately. There’s no consistency and everything is rusty and in need of maintenance. We didn’t eat at the restaurant (there are some very nice options nearby) because of our poor experience with the breakfast and the poke bowls.

My boyfriend and I spent the August bank holiday weekend at this property, encouraged by the positive reviews, but unfortunately it turned out to be a real disappointment. We stayed in the Charlotte Suite, a very spacious room but not at all clean, so much so that upon our arrival we found three insects in the shower tray, other insects in the sink and the toilet bowl with patches of pee obviously not ours, not to mention the dust and cobwebs scattered here and there around the room. In the jacuzzi there was also a spider and one of the 2 headrests was broken. The TV was unusable because you could only see one channel. Nice pool area, friendly and easy-going bartender but here too the bathroom was for shared use. Arriving on Sunday morning at 12 it was very dirty, I even found a piece of toilet paper with blood on it resting on the mirror cabinet. The only positive note was the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff who, I would like to point out, immediately had the bathroom cleaned after we complained. But honestly, if I pay 180 euros a night for a suite I expect something else, because a room like this cannot be called a Suite. We would have also expected a minimum discount for the mix-up of the bathroom being found dirty not only on arrival but also the following morning after having arranged the room for us, which however was not the case. If you want to do a late check out until 6pm at a cost of 50 euros, you should know that the room will not be made up, which is not specified at the time of booking. Having said this, it is a structure that has excellent potential but is really poorly managed, we need to do much, much better.

One night stay characterized by a beautiful atmosphere dedicated to relaxation and quality. Clean pool, excellent cocktails. Courteous staff. Too bad the restaurant was closed for holidays. We will return in the winter for the relaxation route.

Unfortunately, everything I was told was not done. They ask for an extra amount for the location for the decorations, very few decorations, a centerpiece with two roses and two candles on the sides of the table with buffet, poor buffet and above all taken away even before finishing it. Dark location for a party and to finish at half past midnight the lights are still out with all the guests there ....

Not the first Spa we go to, for the price and for 2 people in private it is absolutely the correct size, indeed, large. The cellars are very flashy, the vaults are fantastic. There is a beautiful silence, there is no traffic of people in the courtyard and outside around the castle. We really felt like we were being pampered. Even in the restaurant the service is very present and friendly and lively. They want to work. Beautiful! I have read some reviews, so yes, in fact the sweet receptionist is better than noticing that there is as an option another entrance beyond the spiral staircase (beautiful, but let me tell you, it's dangerous). He didn't tell us. But it is really a very overlookable detail. I recommend asking for an aperitif right away, as the wine is immersed in ice. So no one will come through the door anymore and you will enjoy the peace. It is not possible, but I am naked in the tub like a beggar! I'm not beautiful to look at ... but the wife put up with me. 100% relaxation. The restaurant is slightly more expensive than the average restaurant in the area but gentlemen ... it was really nice and very studied. I spent 10 euros more each. For me it was worth it! Well done. I'll be back for sure also because there aren't many of these services in the area and I avoid the stress of the motorway and queues.

Siamo rimasti veramente soddisfatti!
