Just as the previous review stated, there were dirty dishes in the kitchen sink. The bedroom floor had been “oiled” leaving a very strong and unpleasant odor. The window had been left open (probably to air out the odor) and didn’t have a screen so there were flying bugs about. Scattered furniture and piles of dead leaves on the patio. No toilet paper in the bathroom. The water pressure was terrible and was dribbling out of the shower head by the end of my shower. A live bug fell out of the bath towel when I opened it to dry off. The bed was VERY firm, not at all comfortable, I hardly slept at all. Although the owners were very nice, I expected a way better experience for the nightly rate. I planned for FIVE nights and didn’t return after night one, I found a hotel nearby and stayed there instead.

We were so looking forward to a getaway in a quiet and beautiful part of Albuquerque's Bosque area, just the two of us. The home had nothing but great reviews everywhere I read, but it was quite the opposite. When we arrived and the owner welcomed us into the home, I began to notice the place was a mess, stacks of stuff everywhere, boxes laying around, dirty floors and the shared kitchen was quite honestly disgusting. There was dirty dishes in the sink and the counter tops were so dirty. Our room I must say was better, mostly clean and presentable, but nothing special. The first night the neighbors in the room next door were banging around at all hours of the night and talking from 1-3am. I was ready to leave and forget staying our second night. But when we found out at breakfast that they were selling the home and moving in a month, well that explains it all!!!

This bed and breakfast is a hidden gem! Expansive, relaxing, and quiet, it feels like a luxurious home away from home. Perfect for the whole family, there’s plenty of space to unwind, and the kids loved exploring. The hosts are incredibly kind, making you feel instantly welcome. The breakfast is a standout—absolutely delicious, with a cook whose humor keeps everyone laughing. While it feels delightfully secluded, like a retreat in the country, it’s just a short drive to fantastic shopping. This place blends tranquility and convenience seamlessly. We can’t wait to return for another unforgettable stay!

What a delightful find.!! Absolutely a home away from home. John and Carol along with the hospitality pups made us feel like extended family. Visited the beginning of December, the cottonwood trees had brown leaves but were still beautiful. The property is quiet and peaceful. The rooms were extremely comfortable. Breakfast cooked by John was yummy!! Highly recommend for a quick get away anytime in the ABQ area. Will definitely return when going back to ABQ.

The house and outdoor areas are so relaxing. Many different areas to sit and look out into nature. The house is decorated beautifully and we felt very welcome and comfortable staying in the suite. John and Carol work so hard to provide home made breakfast, happy memories, friendship, and advice on what to do or where to go. The pool was our favorite after a long day of traveling or working. Meeting the other guests was also fun and provided just enough socialization. We did not feel pressure to talk if we didn’t want to. Everyone was relaxed and did there own thing. We loved this property and all the people in it! Walking into town in the early mornings was something I did as well. You will not be disappointed! You will walk in as strangers and walk out feeling like family. Thank you John and Carol for making this trip for my mom and I. ❤️❤️

We were in town to visit family, and Morning Star gave us some much needed privacy. We were in the suite with the bathtub, and while we enjoyed our stay ai should say that if you are the least but shaky on your feet (we are not) get a different room. The tub is big enough for two and is also the shower pan, but you need to clear a knee high barrier that is a foot wide, so keep that in mind. Lovely location.

Beautiful house, comfy bed, delicious breakfasts, and interesting conversations amidst beautiful old cottonwood trees and beautiful flowers. What more could we ask for? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a safe location away from the hubbub of Albuquerque with excellent restaurants nearby.

We stayed here in January and had the best time. Carol and John made us feel like we had been friends forever. The place was amazing and our room was so wonderful and relaxing. John is an amazing chef.l and his breakfast were unbelievable. We will definitely be back. Absolute loved it!!!
