French-speaking hotel staff, attentive and helpful both at reception and on the catering side. 2 swimming pools to choose from, one quieter than the other depending on your preferences. Large, very functional and clean room with a view of the swimming pool (or not). Hotel well located next to shops, restaurants and bars. The food was tasty although lacking a little diversity (I was half board). Excellent value.

We had a lovely holiday at Bahia de Lobos hotel. We had a deluxe poolside room for 3 of us, 78 Yr old, 13 and 50 Yr old. Spacious and clean. Kettle with tea and coffee. Hairdryer, towels, shampoo and hand wash supplied. Rooms cleaned each day. Plenty of food and a good variety. Halloween themed food too! Pool area and gardens maintained daily. Helpful, friendly staff. Evening and poolside entertainment suitable for all ages. Ideal location just off the main shopping street, near the Waterpark and beach/harbour. Would definitely recommend and return.

No way near 4 star, and this is not just my opinion many other families I spoke with had similar experiences whilst I was there. We just returned home and couldn’t wait it was that bad… Arrived and rooms weren’t ready had to wait 3 hours with children in hot temperatures. Poor condition of rooms, Wi-Fi is rubbish everywhere, food is barely edible, no air con in reception and is so hot there you cannot stay and relax to use the Wi-Fi. Air con not working in room, many sun bed wars during stay, you have to get up early to reserve beds otherwise you won’t get one, hotel does nothing about this, broken parasols everywhere, not one which isn’t broken and there not enough of them, also a lot of sun beds broken too. This is a cheap and nasty hotel and would not recommend to anybody. Most of the staff are quite miserable, we heard rumours before coming home that this Hotel chain was going bust, which would explain a great deal as the charges for drinks and upgrade packages are a joke. I could go on and on, but so glad I’m back home, first time ever after taking a holiday abroad, book this hotel at your peril. Have complained to our tour operator and are awaiting a response.

Prior to going I kept an eye on the reviews and was quite anxious but I needn’t have worried. Yes we had to put towels out early if we wanted a pool day, yes the food was pretty much the same but what you would expect from an all inclusive holiday buffet and yes some of the sun beds need replacing but we had a fantastic week. The room was spacious, the bathroom a great size, we had a pool side view and it was perfect. We did hire a car one day and venture across the island to Popcorn Beach, a volcano and Oasis Wildlife Centre and another day we went to the local water park (walking distance) and yet another day to Lanzarote but our pool days were fun and we enjoyed ourselves. The cleaners work around the clock and don’t stop cleaning, even the glass panels at the evening entertainment were cleaned regularly, you see them cleaning the floor outside regularly too. We only went to the evening entertainment twice but really enjoyed it, and the pool side dancing and games were fun too. We won’t be back, not because of the hotel or anything but we like to explore different places but if I was offered another holiday here I would go and I fully recommend it! Go, have fun and explore, it’s a beautiful island and place to visit!

We travelled as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 10) plus my in-laws (6 in total). We stayed for 9 nights in mid-August 24 and booked with jet 2 for our all inclusive stay. The hotel is situated in a fantastic area just off the main road in the town. Only a short walk to the bars shops restaurants and beaches. Free onsite parking was useful for us. The cleanliness of the hotel is superb. Rooms always cleaned along with the upkeep of the other areas. There is plenty of entertainment during the day around the pool e.g volleyball etc. Our kids didn't go to the kids club so can't comment on this aspect. The second pool was quieter and more relaxed. The food was of a good standard, which was varied and plentiful. There was a different evening entertainment each night which was led mainly by the entertainment team too including a mini disco. We had a great time on holiday. There were areas that we thought could improve and whislt these didnt stop us having a good time they need addressing. The hotel overall is in need of an update/modernisation. The walls in the bathroom are peeling, paint work is poor, and the shower tray overflows. The pool area is tiled, and these need re-grouting and some replacing as they're not level. The sun loungers are poor (the coverings are no longer tight, so it's like sitting on poles). The evening entertainment isn't the best. We've stayed at plenty of other 4 /5 star hotels with much higher quality entertainment. Wifi is not available throughout the hotel despite it being advertised in the main reception. The staff are amazing however they are overworked, and overall, the hotel is understaffed. Often at meal times, there was a mad scramble to provide enough plates, cutlery, and tables and chairs. The drinks on all-inclusive were limited. It's not a great or wide selection but acceptable. Rum, gin, beer (amstel - self serve when it worked). Another travel company "fram" (french) also had representatives working there, and their presence was certainly made. They often got their clients involved in activities on an evening, which is fantastic for them but this made somewhat of a divide in who was being looked after and entertained. The hotel has a towel policy but doesn't enforce it at all. Towels on the sun loungers from 6am. Ultimately this is the tourists and not the hotel however we have stayed in hotels where they enforce their policy and this works better so why not here.

Great family holiday for 10 of us (3generations) facilities are good, we read reports of people moaning whinging about things that we didn’t experience. For the money that we paid it was good value. If you want to be waited on by hand and foot, pay twice the amount to get it!!! The room staff were friendly and did clean change your room linen if you wanted it. Air con excellent!!! Pool towels free, pool area cleaned every night removing unthoughtful people’s rubbish that they could have removed themselves! Some people are just slobs on holiday, can’t even stack their plates on their dining tables!!!! unfortunately the food is so good that these slobs pile up their plates and don’t eat it all then go and get another plate full…. Such waste!!!!

After reading the reviews, I was a little worried. My daughter, age 11, has a sensory eating disorder, so abroad is always a challenge for us. However, she ate everyday and actually put weight on. My son aged 9 tried loads. He absolutely loved the food. It was your typical all inclusive buffet but with a little extra. We had a singer on the last night outside the restaurant, who was so good & a stir fry, freshly cooked, with your own chosen ingredients by one of the chefs. We had also had sirloin for lunch. The seafood was amazing. Freshly made soup also. Omelettes made to order in a morning. Freshly made pancakes, pasta and two choices of meat everyday. I was so shocked at the reviews. Yes it was a bit repetitive but the hotel did make an effort to add a little extra. The entertainment team round the pool were so good with kids activities. My children never do kids clubs but by the end of the week we’re taking part in activities on their own. We had such a good time here. Staff were fantastic, rooms v clean & location was amazing for water park, beach & a walk into town/ Marina. Visit lobos island with a swim suit - beautiful. Overall fantastic value for money. Loved it !!!!

Don't waste your money booking this hotel, The bedroom was reasonably clean, the double bed was two single beds pushed together, my daughter slept on the couch bed which was very uncomfortable, The bathroom had mold on the wall and ceiling. The pool was clean enough however most of the sunbeds and parasols were broken, the week I was there the pool and snack bar was shut mostly due to technical issues? Even the first day of our holiday when the snack bar was up and running all it had to offer was cold uncooked hotdogs, dry bland sandwiches and fruit. When booking this hotel it falsely advertised that it had two restaurants which wasn't the case, Evening meal times was absolutely chaotic not big enough for the amount staying at this resort, dirty plates on tables uncollected and food all over the floor it was disgusting, We also found the staff in the restaurant were very rude. The food was the same every evening very bland it was that bad we ate out a few nights, The only thing good about this hotel was the location and a 5 minute walk to the water park. Needless to say we won't be back.
