We recently stayed for a week and a one bedroom plus cabin at Shelley Beach. We loved the cabin and the kitchen was very well equipped with dishwasher hob and oven as well as fridge freezer and microwave. The site was very well maintained with good facilities, including a games room with table football and air hockey, and communal lounge and dining room. The swimming pool is lovely and warm, just wish it was a bit bigger! Shelley Beach is beautiful but very tidal and even at high tide it’s not really possible to swim there as the sea is so shallow! But the sunsets there are amazing and it is also beautiful first thing in the morning. There are nice beaches nearby for swimming, the nearest one just 2 km away. Waitete beach is wonderful with soft sand and safe swimming and only about a 20 minute drive away from the site. The site was incredibly quiet at night and the stars were stunning in the dark sky! All the stuff from the site were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We certainly hope to visit again!

A full house at Shelly Beach for Anniversary Weekend, approx. 450 pp and sitting on the deck of the Beachfront Studio Unit you would never have guessed the park it was so busy! The unit has been updated since we have been there a few years back, with a great new bathroom, couch and bed. The amenities in the kitchenette had everything we needed. Some great activities for the long weekend including Wine n Watercolours and the beachfront movies. The park was always clean and the staff very friendly. We cant wait to go back again soon!

Fantastic couple of weeks spent in one of the beach pods. All the amenities you could ask for in the beach pods. Also regularly cleaned toilets, communal kitchen and showers. The new Webers are an amazing addition to allow for private cooking by the beach. For families they have a huge variety of activities day and night and a great pool to use too. Lastly the staff are fair and friendly. Great bunch of people! Cannot recommend this place more highly.

This place was the perfect get away without going too far from a town. I have been here myself and also given a stay in the Deluxe pod as a gift. Everyone I know loves this place and I plan to come back soon. The view is so peaceful and the location is beautiful with the beach right there! Highly recommend!

nice spot close to many fun things to explore. Friendly helpful staff, great facilities and close to town. recommend the kauri walk you can do at low tide, the lookout on the road to kennedy bay and visiting the lovely little bays north. varied accommodation and sites available. Great place for a weekend escape.

I received a friendly and professional welcome when checking-in. Everything was very well explained and highlighted out on the information sheet. The room and facilities were modern and clean. Coromandel Town is a short drive away, so don't worry if you miss getting anything on the way there. I have rated my sleep as poor - but that was my fellow guests in the lodges fault, nothing the park could have done about it.
