End of September nite away birthday present for my mum Lovely comfortable relaxed old world charm seaview hotel Friendly staff and Reception Spectacular setting Seaview room with fabulous vista comfy kingsize bed and big TV Bathroom very dated however and needs modernising with new bath or shower. Thankfully we had spa treatment booked at Castlemartyr resort nearby following next morning and use of leisure facilities. A La carte fine dining evening meal however was top notch at Bayview Hotel and thoroughly enjoyable. Great service. Irish cuisine with french twist. Lamb done 3 ways was sensational. Duck fillet was tender and juicy cooked to perfection. Very decadent! Breakfast next morning was delicious but service was a bit slow moving and somewhat delayed. Unfortunately my elderly mother decided to use lift instead of taking the stairs to get to the room on our arrival. It wasnt a nice experience! She did notice horrible acrid stale strange metallic like odour like burnt rust or metal when inside the lift or elevator and the carpet was tired and very worn ,disappointing for such a beautiful hotel. When was the last time it was serviced? Nevertheless we were determined to not let it spoil our trip away. The room and food and Seaviews more than made up for it!

Hotel was excellent. The view over the bay was incredible. The bedrooms were lovely and spotless. The bar food looked great but as we just needed something light ( we were to dine at 7.00) we waited till after 3.00 as it said there was a sandwich menu available from 3.00, when the lunch menu was finished. But as we sat down, we were told there was no food available after 3.00. Not good! We were booked for the 3 course meal at 7.00. So there was no chicken left....the rest of the menu not very exciting and my partner really only into chicken. The starters were miserable although the goats cheese tasted good. My partner opted for the salmon starter as a main course. It was miserable and half cooked. I opted for the monkfish. Very chewy with also very chewy mussels with melon balls. Also came with what looked like unwashed potatoes. Really bad. Absolutely not worth €78. The strawberry dessert was very tasty. So go and stay in the hotel, but go elsewhere for evening meal. So 5 stars for the hotel but only 1 for the evening meal.

Visited the dining room on a few occasions in August & September. Fantastic dining experience . Food was really good on the occasions I was there . Service was excellent as well and a big thanks to Isaac and his great dining room staff . Black sole was a highlight . Melt in the mouth stuff . Everyone from group was really delighted . The menu is good with fish ,duck and beef to the fore.

Beautiful setting with pleasant staff. The food was excellent and the rooms were well finished and very comfortable. The hotel.is showing some signs of age. Beautiful sea views. Breakfast was nice but personally I would have liked more. Well worth a visit.

Came for a wedding. Room was lovely. View nice but giving one star as someone charged drinks to our room and on check out was made to pay it. Even though a receipt was shown with a signature that did not belong to myself and my partner. Absolute joke. The room key should be shown when ordering drinks at the bar. Should not have been made to pay the price of drinks that we did not get!

This wonderful hote, looking out onto the Atlantic ocean, is a wonderful delight. From its old and quirky entrance to its magnificent bedrooms we enjoyed a couple of wonderful days here. The dinner menu was exceptional and deserves a Michelin star for its presentation and taste, from starters to mains. Breakfast was very good and a great variety of food available for all tastes. A little bit of maintenance and a splash of paint would enhance this jewel. The staff were more than helpful and professional. Can't wait to come back here. Thank you all.

The hotel has a musty smell and is very old fashioned. It's all different height's of buildings added on to each other, It badly needs to be knocked and a new modern, clean, bright hotel built in it's place. The dining room is very old fashioned, dark and over priced. The bedrooms have a musty smell. It's such a pity that the hotel is so disappointing as it is a stunning location with such beautiful views. The hotel would remind you of faulty towers.

Having returned from an overnight stay in the bayview hotel, the highlight is the beautiful view and lovely staff. The rooms are extremely comfortable , some bathrooms have been updated also. The hotel has just reopened for its spring/ summer season, the restaurant wasnt operating yet so we ate in the village, I would recommend this hotel to anyone heading in this direction.

Stayed in the Bayview for 2 nights early December 2023. We had a beautiful warm bedroom with stunning views of Ballycottom harbour and lighthouse and the setting for breakfast in the bay window was truly amazing. Every member of staff that we encountered were exceptionally friendly and helpful, in particular the welcome of the two ladies at reception and the barman with his attention to detail. We look forward to our next stay in the Bayview.
