Clayton Hotel Cork City Reviews

I got a room with a window facing the in-door atrium, which meant not having a window with daylight. For the price I paid, I would expect to have a room with a window with daylight. Spa was not clean and I didn't enjoy it at all. Breakfast was not good either. I won't stay with Clayton again.

The staff were great, very helpful. Location was a amazing. Good value parking too.

I sent my only one-star review, traveling with my parents special forces, arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, said that the room was leaking, and then led us to a small hotel next to it. There is no apology and no refund to make up the price difference. This broken hotel will be black for life!

Nice location.

Wonderful stay from arrival to departure. Comfortable room, great beds and shower, super quiet. Breakfast was faultless and even has a proper gym not the usual 1 room conversion. Staff were all lovely and parking directly under reception. Will always be my forst choice when in Cork

Convenient location, friendly staff. Had to request change in bedding as thick comforter provided was too warm, staff was helpful. Room was very quiet.

Check in was very simply done online and by collecting keys from kiosk at reception and check out was the same. The hotel main areas were beautiful. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The shower was disappointing as the pressure was really bad. Underground carpark was very handy just not well signposted!

This was the absolute best hotel experience! I accidently forgot my phone and Debbie, front desk manager, was incredible - instead of having me spend time and money organizing and paying to DHL she rang me and said she was coming to the Netherlands where I live for the weekend. I met her in Amsterdam where she returned my phone. Above and beyond is all I can say - cheers to Clayton for hiring such rock stars! Although we are traditionally Hilton and Marriott, we are now loyal to an all-Irish brand - well done!!

Some rooms are nicer than others. We had two rooms. One of the rooms looked renovated. The other room was older and had red stains on the carpet that looked like it could be blood.

the staff cannot not be bothered, rooms were not vacuumed as I was allergic with running nose and sneezing as soon as I entered the room until the next day when I asked for the room to be clean and vacuumed and then I was better. Homeless person sleeping at the door by the breakfast room and was peeing at the door during breakfast If you are not a meat eater the don't go there not much other than baked beans and toast.

The hotel is very central and easy to get to . Very close to main shopping streets and pubs .

The stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. One small critic is that the evening meal is a little expensive and service was very slow. Slow to clear the table and once we had our main meal we were never approached again to see if we wanted desserts or how the meal was. Bar was not overly busy

Ideal location in the city centre with discounted parking in the underground car park. (Must validate your ticket at the hotel reception). Rooms were adequate and cleaned to a high standard. Good choice of breakfast and there is a hotel bar and restaurant and in house coffee shop. All friendly and helpful staff and I would stay here again.
