I've visited CEBU and Bluewater resort many times.
I don't know when I will visit again CEBU, but NEVER the Bluewater.
I stayed Amuma spa suite.
- 1st room : the smell of a sewer in bath room/ roosters' crowing/ Road Noise
So asked transfer room to same Amuma suite level at the other part near Main pool but rejected. She said different category that cannot use it.
2nd room : Barking / Road Noise
- Pool water is not clean. Main pool even bad smells.
- Beach also smells bad
- Many electrical outlets are loose (Both room)
- I knew the breakfast buffet was not good, but become worse this time.

All the staff are very friendly and approachable. We also enjoyed the food though it's a bit pricey. I've read a couple of reviews stating that their bed was damp, so that was the very first thing I checked when we entered the room. Fortunately, we had a dry one and everything looked clean. Overall, we had a great and pleasurable stay.

Mixed Experience at Maribago Blue Waters
Maribago Blue Waters has always held a special place in our hearts, as we’ve loved coming here since we were kids. However, during our recent stay, we noticed some areas that could use improvement.
While the more expensive rooms are definitely worth the price, the deluxe rooms at 7k don’t quite live up to expectations. They feel outdated, like they haven’t been updated in 20 years. The restaurant and spa are also quite pricey, especially the spa, which felt a bit too expensive for what it offers.
During weekends, the resort can get pretty crowded, likely due to the number of walk-in guests. However, the staff are super friendly and always make you feel welcome. One highlight of our stay was the amazing breakfast, offering a great variety from local Filipino favorites to international dishes. We especially loved the guy selling "taho"—it brought back some wonderful childhood memories!
While we still have a soft spot for Maribago Blue Waters, it feels like some things need improvement to live up to the resort’s reputation.

Luke it but beach not blue anymore.still good though.buffet was enjoyed by my grandson.swimming pool not chlorinated.iver all not too bad.

Our room was very big, but there was a weird smell, but that may be die to the renovations I’ve been making. We stayed in the development that was not completely done. Excellent pools and a very nice beach area offers, if you’re willing to spend the money, anything you’d like to do at a beach. there’s a bar along seafood bar we can get oysters crab, and even lobster.
