Hotel Viento10

A beautiful hidden gem off the beaten track but within walking distance to the busier areas near the cathedral. The spa-like atmosphere was very restful. And the room was enormous. I don’t remember the name/number but I stayed in the far left corner of the courtyard on the first floor. Gerardo was kind and accommodating.

I recently reviewed a self-described boutique hotel in Seville, Spain, the Catedral Boutique. This establishment, as I described it, was a complete antithesis to the boutique concept and an unmitigated disaster. In the contrary, Viento 10 in Cordoba Spain is , in my view, the epitome of a boutique hotel. It is a medium-sized place located about a 10 minute-walk from the historical center of Cordoba. Quite interestingly, the design and architecture is a tasteful blend of old (remains of a 14th century hospital) and modern, exquisitely executed design, such as graceful arches resting on old but well-preserved columns, glass doors and partition opening up onto an internal patio, in the Spanish fashion. Needless to say, the rooms are large and equipped with absolutely up to-date and high quality equipment, such as bedding, ta large amount of towels , A/C, shower and all required amenities. The owner greeted us personally upon our arrival and shared with us how he and his family refurbished the old building and transformed it into this wonderful place. The nightly rate is high for the area, but I believe quite justified by the hotel location (very easy, convenient and quick access from major highways), the level of personal attention and the overall comfort provided to the customer. I would recommend Viento 10 to any Cordoba visitor without any reservations.

What an amazing experience!!! Four days in Cordoba. Hotel Viento 10 is a small hotel only 10 minutes away from the old city centre. You can get to main points of the city leaving the hotel to the left (up a street that leads straight to the Mesquita), or right (walking near the river). The hotel has only 8 rooms. It is extremelly clean and quiet. We were greeted by Gerardo (the owner) and on the following days his son, also Gerardo, was the one around. Both are incredibly gentle and friendly. Carmen, another staff at the hotel was very kind and kept the room immaculate. We had breakfast there during our stay. Everything is freshly made, coffee, orange juice, refreshing smooth of melon, lemon and mint (served as a shot), croissant, toast. There is some manchego cheese with jam, banana loaf, yogurt and fruit. You can also ask for eggs if you feel like. The portions are served at your table and we found that at the end of breakfast we were very satisfied. There is a terrace with some lounge chairs and a shower. The room was super spacious and bright. You can have the air conditioner going or just open the window, which in our case faced this very narrow street, always very quiet. We had an amazing time there and will stay there again whenever we have the chance to visit gorgeous Cordoba.

Lovely peaceful little hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were a good size and the breakfasts were delicious, fresh and homemade. The hotel is about a 10/15 minute walk into the main part of town and the walk is flat and easy. This hotel was perfectly located for the Patios Festival which takes place each May.

Located 10 mins out of the city centre on a very quiet back street, we walked past the main door once because it is kept closed and understated. Once inside we were welcomed by Geraldo who, along with his son (also Geraldo) were extremely helpful and friendly. There were only 8 rooms in the hotel so it has a different feel than most city centre hotels. Room was spacious and clean, with a nice wide double bed, but there was no exterior window - this means the only window you can open faces out into the passageway and passing guests could look in. The hotel was exceptionally quiet, except when guests were arriving or leaving. Breakfast was optional for 12 euros, but we felt we got better value from the the nearby cafes. The area around the hotel was lovely, with cafes and shops that were welcoming and largely free from tourists.

Over all it’s fine But there is something it lacks. I think its atmosphere is not quite right.but owner and son are very kind. Our room was small and they r having building work done next door as they are expanding the hotel. So building work noise - cement mixer and angle grinder start at 8am. This has also created issues with poor internet in rooms. So you have to sit in small Lobby to get any from some rooms. Breakfast and parking extra costs every day. But it’s a good location. I think it needs bit more feminine touch
