Castle Farm House B&B

I arrived at around 3.30pm, which I acknowledge was before the 4pm check-in, though had anticipated being able to check in, due to normal check-in times for B&B's/hotels being 2-3pm. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case, and I did have to wait until 4pm to check in. I knew this beforehand so it is not a complaint, more of an observation. I stayed on the upper floor which is dedicated to the Rockingham Suite. The room itself is spacious with a comfortable bed and additional 2-seat sofa. There is a separate bathroom and seating area on the same floor for your exclusive use, with a staircase leading down to the other rooms below. My only concern about this set-up was there was nothing to indicate or stop other guests downstairs venturing upstairs to the separate floor on which my room was situated, so when I did go to and from the bathroom from my bedroom, I had to check nobody else was present, which did not make it feel as private as it should otherwise have been. Breakfast was on a shared round table which was not a problem for me, and I enjoyed the cooked breakfast that I requested. There are parking spaces for 4 vehicle within the grounds, though this could be tricky to navigate depending on the size of other vehicles and how they have parked.

What a splendid bed and breakfast. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds with crisp white bedding, nice and peaceful, plenty of delicious options for breakfast. Clare Is a helpful and welcoming but obtrusive host. Perfect in every respect.

Booked for one night as it was convenient for where we needed to be the next morning. It's a large old farmhouse in a beautifuyl, tiny village. We had to change our arrival and get there earlier than expected. Claire was very accommodating, explaining how we could get in and make ourselves at home. Yes, it's an old building, but it's full of charm from the family photos to the old beams and well chosen pictures. The excellent breakfast was cooked to order - i.e. we could chose what we wanted and it came with a selection of home-made jams and marmalade. Quiet and comfortable with a small yard to park off the road. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location, lovely room, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and fantastic showers, ample parking, delicious breakfasts and a really nice host. Lots of really great gastro pubs only a short drive away. Stamford is a half-hour drive away and really worth a look.

I could not fault Claire's friendliness, her cooking or the room. The place is beautiful and full of interesting things. The welcome was warm, the bed was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was to die for. Thank you, I will be back.

Stayed in the castle room very nice room lovely big bathroom with roll top bath and shower a comfortable bed wry quiet lovely garden views Claire was a great hostess nothing was to much Bother the cooked breakfast was great as my Husband Brian had one each morning there was choice of cereals fruits toast I had poached egg but if you asked Claire she would say anything you want you can have felt very at home would stay again and recommend Castle Farm House to family and friends Great little gem 💎
