I have booked a room online & need to cancel. No contact numbers or email addresses are working! If my card gets charged I will be livid. I am cancelling well within the time limit for cancellations

Well firstly disappointment to find they didn't do breakfasts as we had booked on a site for b&,b !! Got over that as Dylan was very kind to point out where we could buy it! The room was OK just wished they had spent more time and money doing up the rooms as the bar etc as that was very nice. Positive 's comfy mattress and very clean fresh bedding. Downsides ,bathroom very cold ,room and bathroom radiators not working, net curtain in bathroom needs replacing with black out blind and black out curtains in bedroom . TV wants retuned as limited channels, Housekeeping needs to check every change over that shower is clean including drain, door and sealant. Room 3 shower needs completely replacing it is tried ,gruby, leaks , and is basically disgusting! Using a strong mould remover might be a start. Good points are it's central for visiting historic places which is why we stayed but so sorry wouldn't return. This is positive criticism if the right people act on it that's great ,if not ......!

Just booked for a second time for Sunday (16th) lunch. Food (carvery) very good but for second week, no draught beer!! To top that, no bottled Newcastle Brown previouslt served as an alternative, this week, either! Not a good advert as to how to run a (potentially good) pub. The staff as mentioned by other critics have observed a couldn't care less attitude. While we were there a quartet of diners left without ordering!

Visited at 12 noon. Place was cold. Latte coffee was like hot water out of a machine. The bar staff changed it for a pot of tea but that wasn’t much better. Ordered a Halloumi hot sandwich which was strips of halloumi on a small plain bread bun. Chips were nice but certainly not worth the money. Not a pleasant experience.

Stayed at Wheatsheaf in twin room, it was absolutely freezing. Unable to shower as the bathroom was like a fridge. There was no soap in the bathroom. We were the only guests staying that night & it seemed like we weren't catered for at all . We had lunch on the afternoon of our arrival, good food, but again the dining room was freezing. There are much cosier places in Corbridge.

This place is very disappointing. Certainly not a three star hotel more like two at best. Over priced with tatty small rooms that are freezing. The restaurant and bar are soulless, no style or ambiance. Breakfast was awful with cheap ingredients served Luke warm on a cold plate. Over priced at £130 a night. Avoid.

A very bad experience which is still ongoing. I received a parking fine after my stay and have been trying to get it paid back. The stone gate group who run the establishment have washed their hands of it and have asked me “the customer” to seek legal advice!. At no point have I been approached either by the hotel or Stonegate to reimburse the cost of the fine. I’ve tried several times to contact the hotel and each time it’s “yes we’re looking into it” or “it was the previous manager and we’re trying to contact him” Be careful before you book regarding the parking situation as you could be out of pocket !

We booked here for a night as our friends were getting married close by. We stayed on 9th Oct. Room was lovely and clean. Plenty pillows, a throw and large, clean towels. Couldn't fault it. Breakfast was great and nothing was a bother. I would definitely stay again if in the area
