La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Coralville Iowa City

Although at first glance the hotel and rooms are clean and it all seems new and modern. That said, it doesn't have enough parking and the parking it has has spaces WAY too small. If standard cars (not larger trucks even) park correctly in the spot, there is still no room to open your doors. Many people ended up taking two spots but that didn't leave enough spaces. The Televisions didn't work (remotes didn't control the screen); got help and it still didn't work. Wifi was so bad we all just ended up using our mobile data. Breakfast options were limited and the hot plate food was cold. The ice water was flat and warm. Walls are SUPER thin and due to the softball games in town you were listening to kids slamming doors, the elevator dings, and running up and down the halls all night long. If you pick this one, go when it's not a busy weekend. 🤷🏼♀️

Location is a bit off but it’s a new hotel and everything is brand new there. Friendly staff too. Good for an overnight stop.

Super happy with our stay The hotel was very clean, lobby was very spacious. My room was the king bed and it was perfect! Loved it, the space was perfect for our 1 night stay. This was a half way point for our very long drive. Plenty of places to eat in the evening close by. The only thing I was upset about their breakfast doesn’t start until 7:00 on Saturday. We needed to be on the road by 7:00 so we were not able to eat. They didn’t even have coffee or fruit. I was disappointed by that.

We submitted online check as prompted by la Quinta / Wyndham text…got confirmation number and I noted we would be late arrival at 1:30 AM. When we arrived the desk staff said they don’t do online check in and don’t get that information and since they did their room audit already I would have to rebook at almost double the price with no acknowledgment with what would happen to the first payment I made. We had to sleep in our car with our two kids.

swimming pool I own my own pool. I went to a hotel in the past where I wish I had my pool testing strips. I brought them w me. I was there w my granddaughter. She wanted to go swimming when we got there July 17-20, 2025. The water in the pool was clear and sparkling. When I tested it however, the pH was really low and there was no chlorine in the water. I made sure my granddaughter showered after swimming. The same thing happened the next day, the pH even lower. The last night we were there, when we walked into the pool area, it smelled like fish. I tested the pool again and it was worse than the previous two day. luckily she hasn't gotten sick from it.

Loved!! Amazing staff, and very clean room. The room was spacious and upgraded. Had cable and was cozy. Definitely worth going back to.
