"I love the hostel vibes. many activities to do here. the dome has its own bathroom, but i had to stay with 3 unknow males. so i wasn't feel comfortable to use bathroom in the room. I always used shared bathroom. Hair dryer in the bathroom didn't work. The bed doesn't have the curtain. So I feel less private. When the room light was turn off, i turn on the light in my own bed. But my light disturb a guy on next bed then he told me to turn off 🥹."
"The check in process was efficient. Staff are polite and friendly. Room design is nice and very instagrammable. Bed is comfortable. The shampoo, shower gel and hand soap are of good quality and smell nice, I really like the products. You can deposit your luggage in luggage room for free. The only drawback is no kettle provided in the room (I would expect this since this is a 4 stars hotel), you may get hot water from reception which is very troublesome, I went down a few times but the reception has only 1-2 staff working most of the time and there is queue lining up waiting for check-in. Overall it is a comfortable stay."
"It was acceptable, but lacking good facilities, good service and good food. As a budget hostel it does its job, you are located in a good area and it’s walkable to many attractions, metros stations, shopping, restaurants and bars. But the facilities are basic with the shower spraying all over the bathroom, a tiny sink and cramped room. This is coupled with a run down feel of the whole place including the loft that clearly needs some maintenance. We were also confused by the hotel storing large trolleys around our room making it like a maze to get into. The last thing that was disappointing was the breakfast, dry bread, basic ham, limited choices and the same each day, definitely avoid this rip off and underwhelming experience."
"Excellent: clean, comfortable, modern design, good location, prompt support
Improve: app for check-in and entry into building, the apartment was not available to use without a call to support"

Amazing
WWoolly WandererFantastic place to stay. Will definitely visit again. We were a little apprehensive about staying in a “hostel” to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday but we had the best time! There were lots of guests who weren’t young. You just need to be able to get on your hands and knees for the bed! 🤭 There is ample room to sit up in bed. This place has hotel level facilities without the cost. There is a 7/11 store 2 blocks away. Under 10 minutes to walk to Enghave Plads Metro station where there is a beautiful square with lots of cafes to get breakfast. It was about 20 minutes to walk to Tivoli Gardens.
GGuest UserI stayed for three nights at their single bedroom and I enjoyed my stay primarily for the location and the reception area with nice seats and sofas. The bar is open until evening and had coffees too. The location is just next to the main city train station and you can walk for 20 minutes to get to Tivoli, the Parliament House and for a little longer to the mermaid, docks, and war museum. My room was typical European extra small but the shower and bed are more comfortable than the typical budget room in Paris. The breakfast is continental and doesn’t change but they open by 6.30 am, which is a godsend if your flight is early or you’re an early bird. You can cross over to the opposite hotel to access a small gym room (no one used it so I enjoyed it). Absalon is expensive and there are cheaper options but I absolutely didn’t regret staying there.
OORexplorerSteel House Hostel was great for my 4 day stay in Copenhagen. I stayed in a 6-person women's room, and got assigned an upper bunk. The room was quite nice (a bit cramped but nothing out of the ordinary), and I liked how high the bunk was- above head height when people were standing, so it didn't feel like others were in my space, and there was plenty of space to sit fully up in the bunk. Bed and pillow was comfy. Lockers were a good size (fit my carry on suitcase plus a backpack; others had bigger suitcases that didn't fit), but the locking mechanism was a bit challenging- basic idea but seemed to be mechanical issues).
There was a thermostat that could be set as low as 17C (~63F), which was the setting in my room, but this didn't work well- it was definitely in the low 70s (F) in the room and felt quite warm for sleeping. The fans in the bathroom and shower (separate, which was good for a shared room) didn't seem to work (no knob apparent for the shower; there was a knob in the bathroom but it didn't do anything), so the room got humid after one or two people showered.
The hostel is huge, and almost more like a hotel. WiFi was spotty or absent in the room, but plenty of common areas to sit or work downstairs. Kitchen was frequently used, and I took advantage of the kitchen fridge for having skyr and fruit for breakfasts (costs 25DKK for your whole stay).
I also rented a bike for a couple days. It seemed overpriced (~135 DKK for 24hr) but can't beat the convenience, and the bike (standard city cruiser) worked just fine.

Very Good
GGuest UserNeat enough old hotel in the heart of Copenhagen near all things of interest, we enjoyed being able to walk out and find food, transport, parks and shops close by. The hotel itself is a classic old Copenhagen building which shows its age and while I'm sure some find it charming, I would say it's a bit below the standard you come to expect from more modern buildings. The staff was friendly and wanted to accommodate us although the cleaning staff seemed so into their own business that they wouldn't even notice us as we tried getting into the hotel's single elevator, rushing in before us so we almost collided as it didn't seem they were gonna come back inside the lift having just exited. No polite apologies either and on top of that the hallway was at almost all times we came through them, day or night, full of trolleys with used towels, jackets hanging on random hooks and generally just felt cluttered. Don't know if this was on all floors but it gave a weird impression disorder walking through the already-creaky hallway.
As for the room itself, it covered our needs and we didn't have issues with noises from other guests other than those walking through the hallway but at least the walls, floor and ceiling didn't cause disturbance. The beds were a little too soft for our liking and left us feeling sore the day after. Also a shame we didn't get the double-bed we had requested during the booking process. Somehow they mixed that up and reception staff didn't seem to know what our booking involved when we showed up. We decided the twin beds provided could be pushed together instead and leave it at that as we had been up at 4 in the morning and were exhausted. A final note on the room would be the weird furniture choices. You get these bed side tables that look like a school kid's wood working project, kind of rough around the edges and felt very cheap and sort of sloppy from a decorating point of view. In contrast, the reception cafe has a wonderful interior and is very charming so I was a fair bit disappointed that the room gave me this impression.
All in all, the hotel covered the features it should but I had really expected better from the impression I got when making the booking originally. Location is, however, enough of a pull to make up for the negative aspects. Perfect location for sightseeing and access everywhere.

PPypyppyI slept in women tent. The staff is super nice. And super useful guide to explore Copenhagen if you join the WhatsApp group. There’s port on bed for charging. A locker for you to put stuff. And the location is fantastic. Easy to get around the city by transportation nearby. They don’t have a kitchen but you can buy food to eat in the bar and there are many cafes, McDonald’s, street food and bar nearby. They have big washroom and seperate toilet and washroom that you dun have to worry about peeing yourself. And they have a bar.
The room space is not big. And there’s many dust under the charging port on bed. But overall I think it’s fine.
GGuest UserThe location is not far from the Town Hall. It consists of two sections (different entrances) - a bar (the reception is also there), the next door leads to the hostel rooms, which occupy six floors. The elevator (of an old design) goes only to the fifth - so those who got a room on the sixth will have to walk one more floor up.The rooms are quite cramped, the top bed is suspended on pipes, which can give the impression that you are in a basement. On the entire floor - only two toilets, two sinks and three showers. The kitchen as such is not available to guests - there is a small dark room on the ground floor under the bar - which contains two small refrigerators, a microwave, a kettle. There is not even a sink with running water - this can be difficult if you need to wash your own dishes, fruits/vegetables, etc.

FFelix B.. SchiffbauerRoom was alright. Clean and Comfy. Shower was OK, don't like the curtains and bathroom was flooded after shower.
Over all it was okay.
Was a little bit warm and it had no AC and you couldn't open the window. That was a little bad.
AAmer A SaifuddinOk for the price. You need to pay to store your luggage (6 hours for 60kr), which i find a bit weird. Staff was ok. Might not stay here again.

GGuest UserOverall nice experience. Stayed in a room for three. Hotel is very close to København H station, just 2 mins walk. There is always someone at the front desk 24 hours a day to assist us. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, one extra pillow provided. I especially liked the security chain on the door, which made us feel safe.
However, the hotel also had some downsides. Since we visited in January when the weather was very cold, the heating in the room was insufficient, making it extremely chilly inside. I sneezed every morning from the cold.
And, the bathroom door facing the bed, every time when someone goes to the bathroom mid night, the bright light in the bathroom was blinding. The shower space in the bathroom was also small, and there was no waterproof barrier on the floor to prevent water from spilling out, the entire bathroom floor was slippery after showering.
There were three of us, but the hotel only provided two towels and three paper cups, with no toothbrushes or toothpaste. We have to buy it from the front desk for 30dkk. We were also surprised to find that even storing our luggage at the hotel required a fee of 40dkk per hour, so we went to the train station, where we could store our luggage for 24 hours for just 90dkk.
If the hotel could resolve the heating issue, I would still recommend it based on its price and convenient location.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very easy to find. After landing, just take the M3 blue line metro for 7 stops, and you'll find it diagonally opposite the station. Check-in was very straightforward, and the front desk staff spoke excellent English. The only downside was the breakfast; for 125 DKK, it felt like I didn't get much for my money.
