Rosenborg Hotel Apartments

We stayed in apartment 14-Rasmussen, with our 4 adult children. Access was via coded lift direct to the front door. Located in the inner courtyard meant it was quiet as it’s off the main street. Apartment was a good size, with plenty of space for us all. It was spotlessly clean, as were all the provided bedding and towels. Building location is great within the city. 4 min walk to the Metro at Nørreport with direct link to and from the airport. Very short walk to the main shopping street, and centrally placed for accessing many major sights like Tivoli, Palace, Nyhavn. There is a supermarket almost next door to pick up breakfast supplies if you don’t want to use one of the coffee houses close by. Having stayed in many apartments in different cities and this one definitely lives up to more than we had anticipated.

Nicely sized 2 bedroom apartment with an open layout kitchen/dining/living area. Decorated in a really nice modern Ikea-type vibe. The apartment was impeccably clean. Super convenient to the metro station and to all of Copenhagen’s sites. Communication with the (not on site) staff was super easy, helpful, and quick. We would definitely stay here again. This was my favorite place we stayed in during our 12 days in Denmark, Germany, and Austria.

We are staying 4 nights with family with 2 teenagers on 2 bedroom with elevator access. Somehow we thought it was 2 bathroom but 1 bathroom with shower only. Room: When we were out from elevator it is the door for front entrance. Lots of windows and bright but units with elevator facing the rear of the building, so no views. There was security code for every units, you'll punch in security code and elevator stops at your unit. Very spacious, full kitchen with pots, dishes, cups, microwave, stovetop and mini fridge. Pretty clean, new and modern. Dining area has bench seats which has storage for extra linens, with 3 dining chairs. Living area has TV, couch (turn into sofabed) and 2 chairs. Each room has queen beds but can be separated into 2 twins. This helps with my teenagers sharing the same room. Noise: Some review said noise was issue but we didn't have any noise issue because we are facing rear of the building. There was trash pick up around 7-8am, we did hear the noise (we were on 2nd floor-which means 4th in US) but we were awake already so we didn't have issue. Location: Great location, 5-10min to most locations, less than 5min walk to King's park. There were other hotels etc but I can't think of any better/clean/safer location than this hotel. We loved the walk to bakery/restaurants and easy for in/out the hotel. There's no front desk: hotel will send you code to entry 2 days before the check in. There's small tablet in room to let you know about local information etc. IF you have questions they'll answer the call and they are on top. So we didn't have any issue during the stay. I wasn't sure much about this hotel when I booked but I am glad I did book here. Location can't be better, also fully refurbished new hotel and love it here. Highly recommend.

Convenient, clean, well appointed! We will definitely come back. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry (detergent provided) in the building. On line communication to management was efficient too. Beds are comfortable.

This apartment hotel has a lot of great pluses and one big minus. The hotel is really well situated in the center of Copenhagen with almost everything within a walking distance. Getting to and from the CPH airport takes less than half an hour by train or metro (underground) and costs very little. The environment is beautiful with the 17th century observatory Rundetaarn literally across the street. The apartment we had is spacious, functional, and well-equipped. As there are multiple seven-to-eleven-every-day groceries within two-minute walking distance, keeping the family fed was exceptionally easy. Everything was clean and tidy, and all surfaces looked brand new. Beds and linen were very good, as well. This far everything earns full marks. Unfortunately, there is a major downside. At least the apartment we had (Charlotte, 1st floor) had practically no soundproofing. Street side was tolerable despite poeple having fun quite late at night, but the yard side was intolerably noisy. Single glazing with old windows combined with narrow and tall courtyard where waste bins were dragged across cobblestones at 4 am provided an unforgettable experience. Sounded like someone was unloading a dumper full of rocks. I am not very sensitive to noise, and city sounds — trams, occasional drunkards having an argument with themselves, and the other usual noise — does not wake me up. This noise, however, required me to use earplugs in the yard side bedroom. The same problem — but to a lesser extent — was with the stairwells. Sounds of guests hauling their luggage in the stairs plus opening and closing doors (slams and lock beeps) could be heard as if there were no doors. On the other hand, I do not think I heard a sound from our neighbours when they were in their apartments, so the insulation across floors and walls was good. The apartments are in an old building with an old ventilation system. There is no air cooling nor very efficient ventilation. This may not be a very big problem, though, as Copenhagen is not known for prolonged sunshine or heat waves. When we stayed at Rosenborg Hotel Apartments, it was sunny and the daily highs were around +23/25 °C, but the rooms did not become intolerably hot. I do not have anything negative or positive to say about service or personnel. The whole concept is built around no contacts, and everything worked flawlessly, which is very good. However, one thing catches my attention. While multiple reviewers express the same concerns (mostly noise), the management does not seem to respond to those complaints. I understand the problem may be next to impossible to fix due to cost or conservation regulations, but even in that case acknowledging the obvious would look better than trying to pretend there was no such problem.
