Stayed at sun outdoors and was somewhat shocked at the condition of the park currently. been there many times and never saw it like this. the grass was dead at many sites and weeds growing in its place making diffuclt for pets with all the stickers everwhere. maintance was poor at the restrooms with no cleanup for two days, had to go and complain. the fees were a topic among fellow campers { too high } .

I really enjoyed our stay with our family, it was under the Mccurdy's. Me and my family were in cabin 8. I really loved everything about this place other than I did purchase some doorway carpets and left them . It made more easier to clean. The broom there needs to be upgraded and or a small vacuum cleaner would be nice? Also I feel the bed shouldn't be against the wall, it was too hard to sleep and it's inconvenient for at least people that have to get up often to use restroom. The access to beach was beautiful and I absolutely loved the office staff, they were very professional and very kind , best customer service I've seen in a very long time. We definitely wanna come back again. I hope the carpets added a nice touch and also please check the washer and make sure it working appropriately because we did a load of laundry but extremely loud and didn't spin very well and it was a small load . Thank you and I'm looking forward to come back again with our family. Serena Mccurdy

We set up a campsite in one of their beachside spots, and had a wonderful stay. The staff at check-in were very nice, and their store was perfect for anything we were missing (and a quick coffee in the morning). The Bastendorf beach access was a perfect addition to our camping. We fell asleep hearing the ocean behind us, and had a wonderful spot to leave from each day for our trips to Shore Acers, Bandon, and Coos Bay. Getting up to use their bathroom in the middle of the night felt safe, and the bathrooms were well lit and clean.

Stayed 5 nights, RV and tent sites. This park is not worth the money as it claims to be a resort which it is not, amongst other reasons listed below. When we pulled into our site there were several holes dug that they didn’t bother filling in and we all tripped and one of us broke a toe. Beer caps and litter were left on the ground. The sites are crammed together so no privacy. It’s super crowded and packed, and noisy. There are only 3 RV sites with a partial view of the ocean #31, 32, and 33, which are next to the road everyone takes to the beach with cars and people going past loudly all hours, lots of intrusion, letting their dogs pee and poo all over your site. Same thing with the tent sites. The tent sites are pure sand, right on the road. Ok if you like sleeping in sand. The WiFi that you pay for is worthless. Also, With a family member suddenly terminally ill in the hospital and not expected to make it, i inquired about canceling PART of my reservation with 10 days until arrival. They could not even give me an amount that it would cost to cancel unless they actually hit the cancel button which would irreversibly cancel my entire reservation. Weird!! And true!! The owner responded and lied saying offered to reschedule which THEY DID NOT OFFER but rather said I wouldn’t be able to because it was part of a “locked” reservation which had already been changed once. They offered no mercy despite the fact that a family member was literally in the hospital dying. Which I did explain to them. They didnt care. They just wanted my money. Our family member did pass away the day before we arrived. Still, no mercy. My bad for paying $117 per night for RV and $68 for tent spot (in pure sand right behind RVs) when there are 3 other campgrounds right next door. We have come here for several years but I can say I am done!!

4.5/5 stars! What a fantastic place! The only thing preventing us from giving it a full five stars is that the Wi-Fi didn't work at all at our tent spot (number 13). However, we loved the privacy of our spot, which was the most secluded (you have to walk past spots 10-12 to reach it). Each spot has a walkway leading to the beach, and although you can't see the beach from the spot, you can hear the waves clearly due to its proximity. The tent pad was nice and flat, the bathrooms were clean, the showers had great pressure, and the staff were excellent! We would definitely stay here again!

All I can say is WOW, for all the wrong reasons. We made reservations with two other groups to stay here. We’ve been here before and know how great the beach is so we opted to try it again. Boy have things changed. At check in we received our “optimized” spots which of course was not our originally booked spots. When I asked if we could be moved elsewhere so that our parties could stay together the manager was unwilling. The best part is 2 of 3 of our original spots stayed empty during our stay. I was also charged $10 extra a night for a boat. My truck camper and boat was shorter than the giant Motorhome on one side and the huge fifth wheel on the other. We won’t be back! Look nearby, I think you be more pleased with the other option. Also, this place is wired like Fort Knox, privacy doesn't exist here. More cameras than I’ve seen.

Not quite what we were expecting for a “resort”. This is a typical RV park cramming in as many people as they can. More focused on making money than offering comfort and relaxation to their guests. The beach access is the only thing this place really has to offer and it’s not that great at all!

We have been camping in this beautiful location for the past five years. Prior to being bought by Sun Outdoors, this was a charming, well-run facility with owners who truly cared about delivering the best recreational experience possible. Since the acquisition by Sun Outdoors, we feel the experience has gone downhill, despite the large corporate capital investment in restrooms, WiFi, and high-end cabins (for which there is a two-night minimum totaling over $400). The on-site crew is cheery and helpful, but overworked due to understaffing, so they close early and often. The "free WiFi" is totally useless, and the Premium WiFi, offered by a very user-unfriendly third-party, is spotty and difficult to initiate. We don't go on vacation to use the Internet, BUT, if you are going to advertise it as an amenity (and attractive to those who might HAVE to use it for work while the rest of the family plays), you need to know it sucks. The cost of staying here has doubled in the past five years, and that is NOT all due to inflation. Overall, I don't think we'll be coming back any time soon.

You’ll never get your money back if you try and cancel, even if a family member is literally in the hospital dying. Which I did explain to them. They don’t care. They just want your money. Their prices have gotten outrageous and there’s not even an ocean view except 2 of the tent sites. And the WiFi hasn’t worked the last 3 years we’ve been there.
