Motel rooms offer large fridge, jettle coffee, tea, biscuits, washing materials, cutlery. On Western side of Newel Hwy on southern approach to town Plenty of parking space, most rooms/cabins situated several hundred meters from highway. Can hear the heavy transporters thundering by but didn't represent a problem. Accommodation in Coonabarabran (as well as Gilgandra) relatively inexpensive and this option is middle to lower teir. Not too bad at all.

The motel was clean and tidy. Check-in was easy. Owner (Dave & Will Molloy) were very welcoming. Recommend to anyone passing through the area.

We really liked this property for the price. The grounds were great for children after a long drive.

The motel and facilities appear quite dated but are clean and reasonably well maintained. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The motel section is far enough away from the highway so that noise is not a problem. The only real negative was that there was only cutlery and crockery for two in a room for four. Overall the Wagon Wheel is good value for money and conveniently close to town for an overnight stopover.

I booked a room through *******. When I arrived after 12 hours in the car. I was asked to fill in paperwork, then was asked how much I paid. I was then advised that was too cheap you can stay but you need to pay more money. When I refused and told them to cancel the booking, they said I needed to cancel. But the booking was non cancelation. Dodgy people

Basic accomodation for basic price. Nice trees/grassed area around units. Unfortunately a motorbike woke me at 6 am firing up his machine, but not owners fault.
