Great hotel overlooking the canals - the ambiance, the finish and the amenity at the Hope Harbour Hotel was outstanding. Beautifully built (it used to be the Ramada) spacious, big open deck overlooking the canals and boats. Nice little bar and separate dining room - again overlooking the canal. Staff and service was very good - it was personal and felt very comfortable just being there. Twin room with balcony overlooking the canal. Beautiful beds and lovely pillows - good size TV, excellent bathroom and tea/coffee plus fridge in the room.

We were placed here by our insurance company NRMA for temporary accommodation due to our home being flooded. We live in the Resort so we know the Peninsula townhouses are fairly modern maybe 4 -5 years old, however it is obvious that townhouse 16 (3 bedroom townhouse) has had very little done to it since being built. Aside from obvious maintenance issues that need to be addressed - torn carpet, walls damaged and marked, broken/ dirty stove exhaust, stained doonas and pillows which all should be regularly maintained and replaced if needed, it was the cleanliness of the place that we couldn't deal with - mould in the showers, built up scum on the shower rails, dirty glass/ windows/ blinds/ all the kitchen items I had to wash prior to using. All the light switches covered in dust from not being wiped over in a very long time -yuck. The skirtings I started cleaning with my cloths came up with black on them so have obviously not been done in months. I moved the downstairs furniture to sweep it all properly & found a paper towel roll and crumbs under the coffee table and lounges so obviously only gets vaccumed around the furniture, I made the ultimate mistake getting down on my hands and knees to look under the bed this morning to check nothing had been left behind- I wish I hadn't... I'll leave it at that, toilet brushes - obviously the original ones from 2018 - use your imagination. There was a dust pan but no broom, a mop but no bucket, no cleaning cloths, 2 x satchets of washing liquid and 2 satchets of dishwasher powder & 1 x tea towel, no cleaning spray, 3 forks, 3 cups, minimal crockey. So we had to go get all that stuff from home to clean the place enough and be able to cook so that we could at least deal with the few days we were there, the insurance co ended up extending our stay another week but we refused to stay, and said we would rather stay in a tent in the big 4 in the rain than spend another night in this filthy place. We let the managers know so they are aware of the issues, they came in yesterday and placed some more bowls and glassware and forks as there wasn't enough for the 5 of us....... that was it. We have been hotel hopping for the past 5 weeks this was the 4th place we have stayed in, it was the newest but by far the filthiest and worst maintained. We stayed in the Royal Woods Resort in Ashmore prior to this and although it is quite dated you could not fault the cleanliness of the place, we were in an AirBNB prior to that in Biggera Waters which was immaculate, and the Broadwater Shores in Runaway Bay prior to that which is quite dated but still very clean. There is no excuse for the managers/ owners to allow this townhouse to rent this as short term accommodation in the state that it is for the $$ they are charging, I'm only glad we didn't have to pay for it, if we had we would have left day one and demanded a refund. The owners need to spend some money and get it back up to an acceptable standard for a short term l

Very new and clean, The room is big and spacious, the environment is very elegant, there is a heated swimming pool, children's water slide°Like an independent small villa, will not interfere with each other. Very close to several parks, suitable for self-driving °

My family and I stayed here in September and was as wonderful as it looked like in the advertising. 3 large spacious , heated pools and spa , kids club, playground, jumping pillow, pedal bikes, outdoor movies and bistro. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. We had the Pandanus Villa and it was modern, spacious and quiet. We got the special deal which included meals and some drinks and free use of the kids club and equipment which was amazing value. Location wise its off the beach and on a busy road but dont let that put you off. Very quiet and 20 minute walk to The Spit and Broadwater and Parklands. Harbour Town is right across the road for all your shopping needs and extra dining. Brillantly located for theme parks with just a 10 minute drive to them. Bus right out the front which connects with the tram in Southport. I cant fault this place at all. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is in the heart of Surfers Paradise, many restaurants nearby and just 5 min walking to the beach. The room is spacious and the bathroom is really nice and clean! Also the pool is very nice! The facility of parking the car just paying 25 aud per 24h in and out whenever you want is a plus. I highly recommend this hotel.

The picture does not match the reality, the picture looks like the hotel is very high, is able to see the sea or the city, but in fact the highest only 7 floors. The most important thing is that at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, was called up by the fire alarm, panicked and ran downstairs, and finally the hotel checked and found that there was no problem, the hotel did not have any compensation, not even an apology! Worst without one.

We booked a last minute trip to QLD as we needed to use a Jetstar credit. This was the only hotel that was available for 3ppl for under $2k for 6nights during peak period. Location: It is in a good spot being only a 20min walk to Cavill and 5min to the beach. The Room: Was very spacious with a nice view from the balcony. Large bathroom and living space but that is where it ends. The rooms are not serviced and if you like one you will have to pay and also pay for more towels, toilet paper, sheets etc. The room we got said it had 1 large queen bed, we ended up getting 1 double and 1 single bed. The Kmart furniture was wobbly and unstable and had no interior design flow. The walls were all banged up with scuff marks and dints. The bathroom walls had dust all over them and patches that were not even painted. The carpet is old and smelt, so did the couch and the pillows which were once white need to go! The aircon was dirty and needed a clean and the swing function was broken and did not work. The tiles and caulking in the bathroom were mouldy and separating as it was obvious that it was poorly done. I also would have appreciated having more than 2 rolls of 1 ply toilet paper for a 6 day stay. The hotel: The reception was open and spacious offering drink and snacks for sale. Also the reception staff were helpful and friendly with each interaction. The pool looked great and was large offering a kids section and a sand pit. The downfall was that the tiles in the kids section in the pool were missing and some pavers around the pool were loose and/or missing. This could be dangerous for unsupervised children. There looks like there was a restaurant downstairs but looked shut down and out of business which is a shame! With the hotel as it is I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone unless they do some major upgrades and change the day to day operations. This place was not worth the money.

We booked a 3 bedroom apartment with ocean views. Apartment was clean and well furnished. The views from the balcony was very nice, could spot a nice sunrise from it. Fridge smelled funky when we checked it but was promptly attended to when we called. There are restaurants and supermarket just below the apartment, very convenient. Will stay here again.

Just stayed at Sky Island Studios to celebrate my birthday and could not have asked for a better experience. I was met by Jessica upon arrival, who made both myself and my wife feel very welcome. The cake in the fridge and message on blackboard was a delight! The cabins are beautiful - was wonderful to wake up to the sounds of birds while watching sunrise in the morning. Breakfast on the deck was spectacular - and the banana choc smoothie was just the right way to start the day! Huge thanks to Jessica and Albert for their hospitality and look forward to visiting again.
