Helpful Staff, Clean and well maintained. Its a Super 8 so more functional than fancy. Manager reminded us to take breakfast the night before as we were leaving before 7am, in the hopes of seeing wolves in the Lamar Valley, which we did!
Greeted in the morning by a fox with a cataract as I packed the vehicle. Remember Cooke City is the Wild West and surrounded by Grizzlies.

Guest service closed at 8:30 ish so if you have to check in, you need to call a number. Front desk personal was nice. Breakfast was minimal, cereal, waffles, milk, all carbs, no protein. No AC, no fridge, no bathroom on the first floor lobby. No elevators, no cot. Bedding was old and uncomfortable. We paid $220 for one night with two queen beds.

Rude personnel.
Very cramped room. Bathroom was almost as big as the room.
No air conditioning.
Not sure what the smell was in our room. Maybe a cleaning product. My nose was burning after 30 minutes and had a Bloody nose for two days.
Bed was soft and very comfortable.

Staying in a hotel has an unexpected little surprise. You may encounter a wild fox waiting for you to feed it outside the door at night.

There was no internet in this town. There was no WiFi after leaving the hotel and the internet was disconnected. 😭
The location is quite convenient for entering and exiting Yellowstone. There are one or two restaurants in the town where you can eat.

The Super 8 is located right on the main road through town on US Highway 212, not far from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Check-in was just about possible at reception shortly before 8 p.m., but those arriving later had to look for their name on an envelope with the key card on the board. The hotel is quite old and does not really have a comfortable atmosphere. The room and bathroom were clean, however. The access door at the back of the building could only be leaned ajar and was thus open all night. The staff was distant and avoided eye contact. Very limited selection at breakfast. Wifi, however, was better and more stable than "threatened" at check-in.
