Bluebird Lodge

We have just returned from a fabulous 2 night stay with Michael & Tracey - my only regret was that we weren’t there for longer! From the warm welcome upon arrival to the fond farewell on departure we were made to feel so welcome, and our room was lovely, absolutely ample for the 2 of us and our wee pooch. Add in the absolutely fabulous location and SENSATIONAL breakfast (which also comes with the bonus of the amazing view!) and I couldn’t recommend Bluebird Lodge more highly!

We were greeted by Tracey at our check in time and had a lovely warm welcome. The room was perfect, a very comfortable bed and a selection of amenities. Breakfast was delicious, a good choice on offer and was tailored to individuals wishes. Michael and Tracey ensured we were well looked after and were very approachable. They go above and beyond to help guests get the most out of their stay and even printed off the most current weather report ahead of our trip up the Old Man of Coniston. We would 100% stay again. Thank you .

2 night stay. The room was large with good sized bathroom. I made an error and accidentally booked for one person instead of 2 but this wasn't a problem for the owner. It's a short walk from Coniston but not really a problem. Parking on site. I am up at 5.30 every day, so was going to have a lie in and miss breakfast, so the owner suggested a packed breakfast which was a nice touch. Would recommend.

We visited for my Fiancee's birthday, lovely B&B, clean rooms and all facilities needed, what made the stay was the amazing, friendly hosts Tracey & Michael, both are always on hand, talkative and have great advice for nearby locations/walks etc, they also left a lovely box of Lindt chocolates for my Fiancees birthday which was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was extremely tasty with freshly sourced ingredients, up there with the best breakfasts I have had. We wouldnt hesitate to visit again, thank you!

Booked to stay here as we were attending the bonfire and firework display at Coniston Sports and Social Club, and wanted to stay local, in an independent B&B. The location was spot on, a short walk to the town centre, and to the lake itself. The room was clean, and the bed was nice and roomy! A full bathroom is always nice, with a shower over a bath, just what you need after a day's walking! Tracy and Michael are great hosts, very knowledgeable of the area, and things to do, places to eat. Breakfast was a good selection of cereal/fruit/cooked items, with fresh coffee bubbling away. Parking on site is always a bonus, and would stay here again if in Coniston.

With the most perfect view of 'The Old Man' (from room 4) alongside a superb breakfast, it was spotless inside and out and with lovely knowledgeable hosts, it was a perfect place to stay for a few days while we explored the local area - we enjoyed our break very much thank you.
