Outstanding one night trip with my wife, the bed is comfortable, the food was cooked to perfection my congrats to the chief as stake was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended to visit, the river is nearby as well you can have a walk around with nothing but nature by your side.

A lovely situated pub, right on the River Wytham. Barry and Corrine are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about all the best places to visit. My room was clean; decorated really tastefully, throughout the whole establishment. Lovely food, as well.

The accommodation in question , left much to be desired. Throughout our two-night stay, the owner's presence at breakfast, clad in what appeared to be consistently unwashed attire, raised significant concerns about hygiene. The term 'we will berate you' seems fitting for this establishment, as we found ourselves reproached for perceived lateness to breakfast, despite prior arrangements for a suitable time. Criticism also extended to a discovered sink leak during use. Following a lengthy journey from the North, and upon the immediate recognition of our accents, it became evident that the establishment might not offer a welcoming stay. The discomfort was palpable, signaling that our accents were not well-received. However, paradoxically, the owner and his eife displayed an eagerness to accept our money with a gleaming smile, despite the less-than-pleasant atmosphere. This incongruity, where hospitality waned but financial transactions were met with enthusiasm, colored our perception of the place.

The room was clean and very comfortable. The owners very friendly. The breakfasts were lovely and just the right amount. The lodge had a lovely charm and character to it and was perfect for what we wanted

Our third time here and we just love it. It's not a Travelodge (or any other soulless plc place) but instead a quirky and unique one. It's run by a charming couple who work really hard. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal and the bar is friendly and relaxing. How do two people manage it all? It feels like it's in the middle of nowhere but Coningsby, Tattershall and Woodhall Spa are all close by. Keep up the great work Barry and Corrine and please God we'll see you again before too long

Arrived after a few roadworks to which I thought was a quaint country hotel🤷♀️ On arrival no food or drink, asked if there were places nearby as I could see and wasn’t asked if we wanted a refreshment🤦🏼♀️ Went to room to find underwear In drawers don’t know if they were clean, left shortly after host dtill took money even though I didn’t stay 🤬

Great hosts great food nice bar area very friendly atmosphere will visit again for definite good base for visiting Lincoln or the wolds and if you like aircraft Coningsby is virtually near by rooms are clean and nicely decorated and very comfortable

Very good place to stay to visit the surrounding area. Good to not be staying at a Big/international hotel, but a interesting friendly B&B. We ate both nights and the food including the full English breakfast was very good. Evening meals well priced. We highly recommend.
