I chose this hotel for my first solo holiday (female, approaching 50). Traveled in term time which I’ve not done for a long time, and booked with Jet2. It was perfect for what I was after. Enjoyed the food at breakfast and dinner - huge choice of salads which is great in the hot weather. I’m not a huge meat eater and there were always vegetarian and vegan options. Didn’t have any issue with desserts running out (as someone else mentioned) - they were plentiful and delicious. There is only one pool but was not crazy busy, and I couldn’t get over the sunbeds. Yes there are a lot of sunbeds packed into a small space but hardly any were reserved with towels! Whatever time I turned up there was always loads of beds spare and all had umbrellas. I was the only person from my flight to be transferred to this hotel and there was no-one else English at all. It was rather relaxing not speaking to anyone all week! The staff all spoke enough English for me to order food etc. Despite booking through jet2 I found I could book excursions through TUI and they would pick me up outside the hotel (unlike jet2 which required me to travel to meet the coach). I enjoyed excursions to Gibraltar, cadiz and Seville. Conil is a small town a pleasant 15 mins walk away - mostly Spanish people seem to use the hotel, town and beach. Really didn’t feel at all touristy. Once in the town you can keep walking left over a wooden bridge and there is a nice quiet walk to a tower. The beach is very long and quite busy with locals but still plenty of room for everyone, and the further you are prepared to walk, the quieter it gets. Bed was really comfy and there is a choice of pillows. Air-con could have been stronger but it did the job. Shower was really powerful. Cheap supermarket about 5 mins walk out the front of the hotel so stocked up on water for the room. I would definitely return if I ever get the luxury of a solo holiday again!
