We were disappointed to arrive and be told that we couldn’t have the room we’d carefully chosen and booked. We were given the price difference and a bottle of wine in compensation but the room wasn’t as big or as nice as the other one. Very plainly furnished with a bare floor. Jean was very welcoming and offered us a glass of wine with other guests. Breakfast was very good with Canadian pancakes and maple syrup. Helene is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and will provide information and maps on places to visit.

Absolutely the best. Lovely property, great room, very comfortable, wonderful food. I highly recommend. It is perfect. I only wish we'd stayed longer. So much to visit in this area. Helene is so helpful with recommendations and dinner recommendations and reservation. As well as recommendations for local sites, etc..

This was out first visit to Les Bruhasses, but not I hope our last! The house and grounds are beautiful and Jean and Helene are the prefect hosts. We stayed in the Fleurs d'Aurore room, which was spacious, tastefully furnished and had a large comfortable bed. Our breakfast was was a great mix of traditional french breads and croissants etc, but we also had a different plate of warm food each morning, freshly prepared by Helene. We were provided with maps and advice on what to see in the area and Helene made for reservations for us at local restaurants in the evening. We had a wonderful experience staying here and I would not hesitate in recommending it.

My colleague and I were travelling for work and wanted somewhere nice to stay that wasn't a busy hotel. We spent a great night at Les Bruhasses. Spacious and comfortable rooms with lovely big beds. Beautiful grounds. Very welcoming hosts and the most amazing pancakes for breakfast! Would definitely re-book if travelling in the area again.

My 80th birthday celebration was fantastic because of the 10 days spent at this charming chateau. It is a beautiful sanctuary setting surrounded by acres of trees, grass and flowers. The proprietors, Jean and Hélene, are such knowledgeable and engaging hosts. They entertained us with many stories and worked hard to provide our party with the best experience. They served breakfast every morning and Hélene, a gifted chef, created an amazing birthday dinner complete with a 4 layer carrot cake! The seven "old girlfriends" had the luxury of using the living room to play cards every night for hours. Since we took over the whole chateau (there were even girls in the towers) we appreciated the comfort of all the beds and the convenience of an ensuite bathroom. Of course, it was a bonus that Hélene grew up at her family's local vineyard and we were served their wine nightly for apéritifs! Come for two nights or a month. Hélene will help plan your sightseeing and welcome you home with wine -- Now THAT is a deal!

What can I add to all the wonderful reviews already written about Les Bruhasses! This was our 8th visit in 10 years! Sometimes return visits can disappoint but Jean and Helene never do. They are always welcoming, treat you like family, share an aperitif with guests every night, make amazing breakfasts and then find new places to explore. And if Helene happens to be cooking dinner for guests while you are there, you are blessed again. I think I remember every dinner she has ever made while we were there! To say life in the Gers is paradise may be a bit of an overstatement, but for us, its near enough.

This is our third visit in 3 years to Les BRUHASSES. Each visit has been remarkable! Jean & Hélène give their guests a wonderful stay experience. Our room/ suite is spacious,( Fleurs d’ Aurore), and comfortable with a view of the rose garden. Hélène is a walking, talking history book and she shares her French knowledge with the guests, by helping them plan their day or days in the GERS area. We were fortunate this year to be at Les BRUHASSES for two Table Haute dinners—-oh, so delicious and so interesting to meet and speak to fellow guests from all over the world. Les BRUHASSES is a GEM, unlike any other B&B. Tom & Eileen Florida, U. S. A.
